The Z is not fast, it's decent. And LOL...at Camry. That's what I carry my family in. Surely you have enough common sense to know I wasn't talking about my Camry.

Come on guys the z is awesome too no need for wars. All our cars wether its a z or an 86 it doesnt matter. This is how car douchebaggery is created. This is why so many people looked down on civics circa 2001. Lets not be the new age jerks lets all drive

370z = Win

Not trying to butt hurt anyone but I just bought a new 2012 370z Sports for $31,400 tax included. For the added +133hp,19'' Forged Rays, Piston Brake System, and LSD I think the extra 7k is worth it. FR-S is a nice looking car, but producing a 200bhp "sports" car nowadays is a thing of the past. I predict that all the 17 yr olds with "hooked up" scion tc will no doubt trade in their hot rides for an FR-S. And for those whom say that they can just hook up their FR-S to be as fast as a 370z, think again. 370z has been out for much longer so aftermarket parts are more abundant >.
HFC - $400 15-20whp
HPS Tubes + K&N Drop In - $200 8-10whp

The End.

Nothing special. Just another import with a Garrett heart beat.

I believe most people in the auto industry tend to rank new sports cars in the following:

1. FRS
2. Mustang
3. Miata
4. Camaro
5. 370z

Based on cost/performance/reliability. The problem is my eyes is that 370z costs too much. Sure its numbers suggest its a great car, but the driving feel, reliability, and safety are all sorely lacking compared to other cars in this segment. The Mustang has better power/speed than the 370z, whereas the FRS/BRZ has better turn-in/handling/balance, the miata is obviously lighter, more fun to drive, and the camaro has more interior space, more power, and better looks. There isnt really one thing that stands out to me about the 370z other than that sexy exhaust note.

Im not a fan of the 350z's or 370z's im not a fan of how they drive either although the 370z is much better than the 350z's in this regard...but the 370z is most definetly a car with higher limits and a higher performance envelope. I think people think less weight means more sporting and better performance when that simply is not true their are many more parameters involved. The twins are a excellent limited budget sports car 1 of the very best of this purist mold as we've seen, but as far as out right performance it does not compete with a car like the 370z trying to spite its merits is absolutely rediculous.......i hope to god Toyota and Subaru are listening more POWA and grip PLEASE!!!

The Limited BRZ is $27,450 MSRP while the base Z is $32,280. That's less than $5,000. Then if you take the invoice into account, at $30,241 your difference is even closer. Look into a used Z and they will be very close price-wise.

If you are looking at a new sport touring, then the game changes and you encroach on your 5 figure difference; however, then the 'luxury' card comes into play. The interior of even the base Z is more 'mature' than the plasticy space invaders in the FR-S (but that's a whole other story).

My point is, they are for different buyers, but the prices do get decivingly close when you option out a 86 and strip down a Z. You also add over 100hp and 100tq (as well as a few hundre pounders), but also cut close to 2 seconds off your 1/4 mile...
You speak the truth!! Like I said. any left over 2012 370z are selling for below invoice (my 370z sports $31.400) to make room for the 2013's.

Really? Are all Nissan owners as retarded as you two? You're starting a bad generalization... you cannot compare the Limited BRZ price in one thought and jump to the FR-S interior in another. Let the flaming begin...

Nem370z, I hope that price given to you included some lube because the only person with a hurt butt is you obviously. List components that actually matter now and along down the line... RELIABILITY for example. Any wonder as to why the new Zs are selling at or below invoice? Really, I'm totally not going to waste any more time with this adolescent immaturity. Grow up some day!
