Well that escalated quickly

This is a long shot but does anyone know any good bike brake rotor locks that are good? I was looking at the Xena XX6 but I am afraid that the alarm is too sensitive. So might just go lock cylinder? I don't have the garage for awhile. I know Supermassive had some bikes, have some ideas? Like I said, kind of a long shot on here but thought I would throw it out there.

Awwww i missed out on a 88 drive? I Wish I would have seen this... I would have come! I usually go at least once a week.

And heads up on the "tunnel" pics. The i10 tunnel uses a mercury vapor light with a fantastic white balance of ~2k (sarcasm) which after editing destroys most color reproduction especially oranges, yellows, etc as when you attempt to white balance it all the lower kelvin shades (such as amber in side markers, turn signals, etc) go white. It works okay for some greyscale paints though, or black and white photos.

There is one spot at the airport however that uses some bulbs around the 5k range but the airport staff gets pretty grumpy if you pass by more than once or twice with a camera hanging out of the back of a car. lol

I dont have I rotor lock but I use a scorpio alarm with a perimeter sensor and starter kill, plus I use the column lock. Scorpio has direct connect harnesses that are no splice except for the starter. Love the system its rfid so i dont even have to disarm it. The remote stays in my pocket. Just my 2 cents even though its nit a direct response to rotor locks

static, rolling, or rig shots? depends on the scenery you are looking for and the car. I am not too huge of a fan of distracting backgrounds in my photos as i tend to shoot with the car as the subject and not the background.

There are quite a few places SE of the stadium downtown near the 7th streetbridge. Lots of good industrial spots that can work as a backdrop & rig shots.

As for rolling there is very little coverage from the sun in phoenix so it makes it a bit rough unless you want to shoot right at sunset (in which you will need to aim for a good road that has the correct driving direction to control shadows which can be a horrid experience!).

Also day / night makes a difference. Phoenix is kind of a boring town (hah). but this is one spot south east of central & washington that can be kind of nice right at dusk:

Personally i like to get away from the town and people so ic an focus on shooting. This is off peoria ave about 3-4 miles past "civilization"

This is off central (iirc i would have to drive by and check i always forget) downtown. It is slightly W of the hilton downtown, and near the wellsfargo. Keep in mind there is a camera right above the chain link gate, if you notice im shooting about 2 feet past the edge of the gate as that is the "property line". As long as you are in front of it the security is usually not too mean (but typically thy chase you out after a few).

i cant find any photos from when i shot at this location years ago but i liked this alley (although fairly crampt! keep this in mind!!) 2nd street & washington

I like quite a few places around 2nd & washington my self. There is an old garage down there, and a church etc that has some nice clean non distracting walls and typically low traffic.

As for rolling (I rarely do these, i prefer to "rig" shot). I like around papago NW of tempe. It's just rough to get an overcast day. I prefer shooting overcast and then drawing my lights & shadows in by hand:

Thanks man! I can't wait to get back to full time shooting. Hopefully around fall time this year I will be back full time shooting! I am able to stand for nearly two hours now WOOOO! Took a few months to get to this point lol. Some of my shoots were peaking at 6-8hrs so I still have a bit of physical therapy to work through. Luckily I am about at the point I can probably swing "semi casual" shoots and small sets.

With my foot the way it is im usually down for some help haha. Running around for lights etc puts a lot of pain on my leg. Which is why i had to back down my shoots & events i was doing this year. I have actually been wanting to go do some street photog lately. But would probably be shorter trips, as 10-15min of walking starts to hurt a bit. But i figured just hit downtown, walk around for 10-15min, shoot a bit, walk around a bit... and head home an hour later.

And I think you live right next to me... lol What body do you shoot with?
