so went to the dragstrip earlier today, and had some issues. First run of the day, I couldn't get traction at all, and the belt decided it wanted to eat itself. Went to buy 2 more, and I was paranoid after that.

here's a vid of my best run tonight. 9.0@80mph. SOOOO many traction issues. love the torque when i'm moving, but not from a dig.

edit: trying to get the vid working. I'll post it as soon as I can get it uploaded to youtube

maybe this will work?

Since 0-60 time depends on how good the launch is and it can't be consistent, best way to verify performance upgrades is to do 40-60 or 60-80 times, that's what I do.

I've found slipping the clutch around 3-3.5k and smoothly letting the throttle pedal drop into WOT seems to work. I also have 255 direzza Z2s out back though. I think the problem is you're in peak torque instantly so you have to find a way to modulate your inputs to limit traction loss.

I ran a 9.0 he ran a 9.3

second edit: correction, not going to be able to make it there today, will have to wait. instead, here's my time slip.

2.18 60 ft
6.01 330 ft
9.09 1/8
80.3 mph

and the run right after that

.1715 reaction
2.3 60ft
6.29 330 ft
9.4 1/8
80.47 mph

really think that an increase in traction will help a lot. and the fact that she'll pull so hard up top will make my 1/4 time awesome.

Darren and I hit PIR late night drags on friday... my Best was a 14:08 (still with lots of wheel spin need to work on my launch) and @DarrenDriven best was a 14:20 I believe.

Since some people asked, I just filled up and got 24mpg on my last tank of 93. I would say it's within the range of non-supercharged given the driving habits. Maybe -1 or -2mpg apples to apples.

Seems the same losses as my vortech, I actually did a tank of play nice nice, and I nailed 33.4 mpg, all highway, all boring. I think the major losses are encountered by people with e-tunes that run rich.

Installed and dyno'd. 225/192 w/ stock header on @moto-mike's base E85 map (no adjustments made yet, but i am confident there's quite a bit more power to be had once we get the tune dialed in). i'm beat from all the driving this weekend so i'm gonna take it easy tonight. Tomorrow I'll work on getting some datalogs so we can start dialing things in.

I will say that it feels great already, I can't imagine how good it will feel once we finish with the tune!

Thanks again for getting that part shipped so quickly! :happy0180:
