Does it come with an adapter for the gopro? My gopro doesn't have a place to screw into the bottom of it.

No, you need a tripod mount adapter. Most gopro kits come with them, but if not that's what you need.

Stupid tapatalk edit...

I've had good luck with this one so far (mounts to headrest not suction). If you tighten it all down good it doesn't move.

Unfortunately all of the mods I had done before deciding to use it in autocross put it in STX. I was 9 seconds behind the leader in STX at our local clubs first event. So I went out and got a 2020 BRZ limited PP for our next event. I have a set of wheels with Azenis RT 615k coming as well as a set of EBC yellow, which I really liked on My BMW's. I plan on trying to get into several SCCA events around the Maryland area. I know there are several held at FedEx field, and Ripken Stadium. Any suggestions for other modifications that fit with the DS rules for a beginner?

I can drive my wife's base model Civic on all-seasons within 5 seconds of my STX times. 9 seconds is a lot more than just car. It doesn't matter what car/setup you're starting with your first year or two of autocross is purely learning how to navigate the courses and figuring out the techniques that are used. Focus all your energy on that and don't worry about car, tires, or mods.

Yup, go hop in a championship winning stx car and you’ll probably still be 5+ seconds off the pace.

But the car is bought so enjoy it. Wear out the falkens and then move up to a 200tw tire. Find video or ride along with others to get quicker. The first year can be pretty satisfying since you’ll hopefully make lots of progress to the fast guys.

agree a seasoned driver could have taken that car and shaved 5 seconds off its time. Which is why I am keeping the BRZ stock except for tires until I have a few seasons under my belt

Unfortunately I was in the first run group at my first autocross. I did a few ride alongs later in the day. Hopefully this next event I have a later group so I can ride along again.

BMC AX 2 Best Run

First time running the BRZ only my second AX ever. Feel free to critique. I know I have a lot to learn. First in DS out of 5 cars 60th out of 100 overall and 48th in PAX.

Hands at 9 and 3 or 10 and 2 at all times.
No hand shuffle steering.
Hand on shifter while shifting only, not for resting.

A more accurate assessment of oneself is how many index seconds you are off the pax #1

I think your biggest performance improvement will come from just being more aggressive.

2022's are near impossible to come by these days. If a Premium GR86 came available how would that affect the car's competitiveness? I understand it comes with 18's and maybe bigger brakes. Do the bigger brakes block you from fitting 17's if desired?
