While I was going back to work, this guy in a nice BMW told me nice ride and gave me the thumbs up while we waited for the light to turn green. I'm a bit sheepish when it comes to compliments or praises, so all I could say was "Thank You" and waved to him with a smile.

On my (AK)86 club's cruise last weekend, we were slowly going through downtown between the strip that had nearly all the bars. Now, before we even went down that street, this "mall" security car happened to be driving with us on the highway to get to downtown. At the time, I didn't really pay much attention to him since I figured he was just doing his job, checking on the places he was assigned to check. Funny enough, he was going the other direction when we were going down the strip downtown between the bars. He flashed his headlights to us a few times and gave the thumbs up. By the time he reached me because I was the last 86 out of the group, he stopped and shouted to me, "Out of all of these cars, yours is my favorite! It also looks and sounds great!" Again, I'm sheepish when it comes to compliment, so all I could say was "Thank you" and smile.

Friday night after the car meet, my friend and I decided to go through McDonald's, then park the car horizontal at the parking lot to eat outside since I didn't want to take the chance of food crumbs in the car. We were talking about his issues with his girlfriend. After some time, this old green car across the way started and began to leave, but stopped with the female passenger attempting to leave me her number and said she wanted to ride my car. I tried to decline in a nice way, but she was obviously offended, muttering something about how she "may not be some super model, but..." I just didn't want to have to explain to my girlfriend how I ended up with some random girl's number and how she wants to ride my car, let alone not only did she looked like she had been doing way too many drugs for way too long, but you could smell the residue of marijuana coming from the car from 5 feet away. Not the kind of crowd I personally would like to be around.

Got pulled over tonight, cop told me my windows seemed like they were tinted too dark. But ended up realizing that the windows weren't too dark as they walked up to the window. They ended up just conversing with me about my ride and how nice it was; even complimenting my spec d tail lights. They let me go with a warning, complimented me with having a nice ride, and thanking me for being cooperative. See? Not all cops are bad 😅

Had one of those "No I wasn't looking" experiences yesterday.
Drop through a parking lot where there was a classic car meet going on. I could see half the people turn and stare and point as I got close. As soon as they saw me look at them almost every single one looked up in the air and started to whistle (or at least they looked like it). Once past they were all staring and pointing again. Heaven forbid they should show interest in something under 25 years old.
Was funny as hell and some time when not busy I will park beside them and see what happens.

Wait, is that a suppository in my ear? Where the hell did I put my hearing aid then?

I get these all the time. My wife also loves the attention we get from the car. She always wants to swap cars (she drives a polo 1.4 GTi so I don't mind).

Just last week a few ladies walked up while I was in the car, I had barely turned it off, and started taking pictures. It was really strange. I have caught many guys posing in front of it to take pictures, I just ask them to delete the pictures that show the registration. or not take any that not to lean on the car.

The only complaint is from one of my friends who thinks I shouldn't have bought it but this is the same guy who sold his E90 323 for a Ford Figo.

You have any idea how difficult that is to do? Lost my job, sold the house and car, have a restraining order out from my Internet Provider. Still have almost 3 months so hell I am going for 15,000.

Actually, on Sunday afternoons when they hold the meet I am usually still at the cottage.

Although ours is a Cottage type it is in a trailer park in a Conservation Area not some mansion overlooking a lake as you may picture.
The people on one side of me are Mexican and on the other Pilipino, across the street they are Nigerian and beside them are Koreans. My street is a veritable UN! Oh and most of the white folks are working class at best and dirt broke half the time. Mostly we just sit around, drink beer and burn shit.

Respect, people think the same when I say I'm heading to the family beach house for the weekend.

What they think:

When in reality it's more like this:
