I am starting to wonder who WON'T be teaming up with Toyota (BMW, Subaru, Mazda...who's next?)

By the way, putting a small turbo engine into the next iteration makes sense; future models will be subject to more stringent fuel economy guidelines. Europe taxes the shit out of you based on the size of the engine...so small turbo's are the way it will be (see next gen Boxster/Cayman). Get your N/A engines while you can lol.

They are all bunk there Def. Started by motoring.au back in the spring. Yes, Toyota is working with Mazda but not on this platform.
Mazda has made cars for Toyota for years in their Mexico plant and Toyota has provided Mazda with hybrid tech for almost as long as it has existed. These team ups are not new or unusual it is just the clickbait bullshit stories that they make up that are.

I guess time will tell as they say.

I am enjoying my car, and actively saving for its replacement (4 years from now). Cayman or Alfa Romeo 4c?

It kind of is. By that same logic nobody should/would ever buy this car.

Why does it need more power? Because its slow. I love the looks and handling and interior....literally everything about the car. Power delivery is lackluster.

Also the 30K plus argument is invalid because that's what they were asking for the release series and the 10 series (31-32 as I recall) and the series.blue

They can give them some cool features that arguably don't matter but they can't give us a couple more HP.... the R&D argument / driving price up argument is kind of washy too seeing as the motor in different forms puts out much more. IDK. Obviously I bought this car based on more than HP, I would have just bought it sooner if it had something more under the hood. That's the one criticism everybody talks about, and it is the one thing people who own the car seem to bury their head in the sand over.

For me it is a fun car to drive, and has a decent balance of power and economy. Increase one, decrease the other.

You obviously never thought about it in great detail.

Why in the world would Subaru come out with a WRX competitor that would basically share shift sales of WRX over to this "BRZ"?

A couple more seconds of thoughtful reasoning would've given you a conclusion that this is too good to be true.

While if YOU think the car needs power or not is your opinion and completely valid because it's your opinion...

Do you have your head in the sand that much that you can't see why ANYONE would want more power? Have you read like 99% of the reviews out there for the car? Do you have so little empathy that you can't try to look at it from someone else's value system rather than your own?

So there is no reason that family sedans need more power either. They're not even sports cars!!! car manufacturers therefore are all retarded! look at camrys now compared to 20 years ago!! why do they keep adding power!!! it's useless!!!!! consumers are all stupid!!!! i'm the only rational being!!!!

edit: sorry, Tcoat, misunderstood your post. My bad. I thought you were generalizing your opinions to other people.

It's been established since the release of the FR-S and BRZ that power was not a focus for this car. I too would have liked if there was more power, but F/I can solve that issue. If I really wanted STI power, I'd have bought an STI.

Can I ask, do you complain about the lack of power on the ND Miata?
