I agree. I've never owned a four wheeled vehicle under $10K and I've only owned a single motorcycle that was under $10K. My FR-S is my cheapest daily driver by almost 50%.

OP would you be interested in trying this?

Since you wanna go fast but still need a DD.

Keep the FRS take the money you would spend boosting it and buy one of these (see picture of my bike below)

You could pick up a used one in great condition for <$5k or buy a new one for $10k.

They will guaranteed blow the doors off any car you could afford to buy.

Hell my GSXR is faster than my new Vette.

And there is no comparison to the experience and fun of riding a bike to a car.

Cars are great but bikes are just another league of fun and driver/rider experience.

And where are you getting that information? lol

Because I'm pretty darn sure we all know what a 10th gen Civic type R looks like.

getting that information from my brain sir.

the first picture is of the ninth gen type r. the second picture is of the fk2 which was released in March which will not come to the states. Third picture is of a concept of the 2016 civic for the states. Honda in April then stated that the U.S. will be getting a four door type r. We still have no idea what the type r for the states will look like.

Man I actually love the look of that concept! Well, the last one, not the green color though.

Just to lighten things up on the WRX side, ETS has a turbo kit out with an option for an FMIC, currently they have a video of it pushing 442whp on a dyno. Read the nasioc thread and the trans and internals seem to be doing just fine. Basically a low mount pte 5858 with all the topings and an fmic going from 215whp to 442 on pump lol

So you're saying that because the US isn't getting the 10th gen civic type R, it doesn't count?

And you're saying "Wait for the 10th gen civic type R..." because no one knows what the #s are, no one knows what it looks like, or when/if it's coming to the US because your brain says its a good idea....

Edit: Anywho. the euro type R does 0-62 in 5.7 seconds according to Honda. Top Gear managed a 0-60 in 5.3. The tested trim was 32,000 in brittish pounds. That's 50,000 US.

Focus RS is priced around $35,000, AWD and rumored at 340ish horsepower. I can garuntee you it will do 0-62 faster than 5.7 seconds.

Why would anyone choose a Civic Type R (even in Euro Spec) over a focus RS?

Because they are FANBOIS!

honestly the stock turbo is nice, its a garrett MGT2259S. after reading its compressor map, pretty sure its still efficient at 20-23 psi.

Oh it is. It's a nice twin scroll, only downside is it drops off after 5.5k. Stock turbo though is capable of 330+ whp

I dont even understand your question. I'm making this whole thing very clear and your just not getting it

The fk2 is for overseas and we have no idea whether or not the tenth gen which the us will be getting will look anything like it or not. Im not sure if the market over there goes by the same numbering scale as the U.S so im not sure if its accurate to call the fk2 a tenth gen.

All I'm saying is: The 9th gen civic type R didn't come to the US.

This fk2, a type R after the 9th gen, is not coming to the US so you're not counting it.

Sequentially, the fk2 would be a 10th gen civic type R and the one coming to the US would be the 11th.

Regardless. Its slower and more expensive than a WRX.
