If you want comfort, look up a BRZ owner in your area who has upgraded their ride to coil-overs and offer them $20 apiece for their old ones. I'm driving a BRZ with FR-S springs in front, and BRZ springs in back. I've never had a better ride from my car. The struts are all the same, BRZ or FR-S, so you don't need to change those if you don't have to.
Save your money for intake/header/OFT instead.

I have an FR-S and looking for a comfortable lowered ride. Did you lower your BRZ after putting on the FR-S coils? I only want to lower mine 1", so I was thinking of getting BRZ coils like you said and adding H&R sport springs.

The struts are all the same, it's just the springs which are different. For a comfortable, lowered ride, keep the stock FR-S struts but get the softest lowering springs available, no more than 1" drop, with the softer springs up front. The bump-stops will also have to be trimmed or replaced with shorter ones, and of course your alignment will be off. I had a 1" drop with my HKS Hypermax GT IV's and they rode better lowered than they did at stock height. I'm going to try using my HKS Hypermax GT IV's for a 1" lowered summer setup. Although they come with 59 N/mm front and 38 N/mm rear springs. I'm going to try switching the springs front to rear, because that ratio, (64%, or 38f/59r) is about the same as I'm currently running, (67%, or 23f/34r) with FR-S 23 N/mm front, and BRZ 34 N/mm rear springs, and my car seems to ride better with softer front springs.
I currently have the stock FR-S springs/struts in front, stock BRZ springs/struts in back, Delryn steering rack mount inserts, Camber is 0 LF, 0 RR, 1 LR, and 1.3 RR, Toe angle is 0 LF, 0 RF, .05 LR, and .05 RR. My car steers perfectly on the streets and highways, and even handles pretty good on hard corners, I would definitely switch to my firm setup for the track though.
