My JDM "T" badges should be showing up soon. I'm gonna head straight to my dealer to start comparing against US badges to see if anything is a near fit. (or perfect fit!)

did the FRS badge have any holes behind it or just the scion emblem? Thanks in advance, sorry if I missed that in the thread.

Took the FR-S logo off tonight , used a heat gun, just to apply a little heat , it was 100 outside so it didnt need much heat . Just did a sweeping method accross the logo. It came right up and the adhesive came right up by just rolling it up with my finger , if you can't do this just apply more heat. Also took the dealers sticker off, I hate that they put this on the car, they arnt paying me for advertisement > . Just used a little heat to the sticker and it pulled right up. I used KalGuard degreaser. I love this stuff it literally took no scrubbing to get the adhesive off , I have it to clean my RC cars , it's a motorcycle product tho.
I decided to leave the scion and the piston emblems on , I don't want to have to mess with body filler and touch up paint .

Yeah, I think that if you go for the debadge right away then you will have a pretty easy time. It was only about 60 degrees out the day that I did it, so the heat gun helped... but when I helped my buddy do his on a warmer day I didn't even need the heat gun.

Yea, I refuse to take delivery on a car until the dealer sticker is removed, or they agree to trade free maintenance for the life of the car in trade for advertising for them. Amazingly, they always remove the sticker.

The paint is very thin on the bumper. I took off a chunk with my thumbnail some how. Also, it felt like the front did have pushpins. I basically had to break the pins to remove the badge.

Yeah, there are DEFINITELY push nuts on the back of the pins on the front emblem like the manual says. When I removed mine I had to pull really hard after all the adhesive was off and the pins broke off. Now those push nuts must be floating around the front bumper somewhere...

Thankfully I haven't damaged the front bumper.paint myself, but I.did get a rock chip within the first few days.

Someone tell me this, when ordering at the parts counter in toyota, which Toyota badge from which car (Matrix, camry etc) fits the FR-S in terms of Size just like the JDM 86. I suppose if i ordered it for the FR-S they wouldnt know and just give me Scion badges. Anyway if someone can shine a light that would be great.

As soon as my JDM T badges arrive I am going to cross reference them to other badges in an attempt to find a reasonable solution. The exact match will always be the JDM part, but if something is close enough then I wouldn't blame anyone for going the cheaper and easier route.
