center section didn't work!

Center section melted, broke and cracked after only 20 minutes or so, those mufflers melted on the inside and the 2 bolt flange didn't hold as the bolt would loosen up because of the difference of thermal dilation. The only way you can connect a piece of stainless to aluminum is through a vband flange. we kept the rear section which is basically just an aluminum pipe and replaced the center section with one we made out of stainless. The only muffler we have is a 5" round magnaflow resonator so it is LOUD but on a race car we didn't really mind. I wouldn't run it in the street though, unless you have a turbo to cut the sound a little.

so it is heavier than what we anticipated at first but at least we kept the rear section. i suppose making a catback out of aluminum should work but forget about those mufflers and use a vband.

sorry, missed that one, no we have not yet, our tires are so weak that we don't get much braking force, they have been plenty good like that.

When we'll do races with slicks in national events next year, we will use brake duct.

Great work on this car.

If I can ask where did you get the hood from? The two opening in the hood did it help with lowering the temperature? Did it help with downforce?
