For those new to buying a new car, keep in mind that the internet is your friend. Most dealerships will happily deliver a car within quite a large area, so if a dealership 50 miles away can beat the one down the street in price, go with the one 50 miles away. The dealership I bought my BRZ from regularly delivers cars +300 miles away! There is even a BRZ order thread floating around for a dealership out in Colarado that claims to beat any price anywhere on a new BRZ. They will deliver anywhere in the US. The world is getting smaller every day!

Trying to convince people in areas that get a lot of snow that they should get a low, RWD coupe over a WRX can't be very easy. The dealership I bought mine from told me the reason the car was so cheap was because they just couldn't sell BRZ's in February. I believe it.

Also, yes, the FRS front grill is pretty, but the BRZ comes with a lot more stuff than the base model FRS. So for the same money, no reason not to get the Subie. Oh, and it'll also hold it's value better because they're "rarer". Go figure.
This has everything to do with the WRX. Going along with your argument, a base WRX starts around $26,300 while a BRZ premium starts at around $25,600 and this is without TT&L or any additions. Given that small price gap, a consumer who doesn't give a shit about fancy interior features like myself would consider a faster car with AWD the better purchase. Because of this reason, they had to make a noticeable price gap between an equally equipped WRX with the same options as a BRZ limited in order to actually sell BRZs. You basically proved my point with your entire post.

so then what's everyones OTD? that's where my trouble is.. I have about half to put down on the car but these added dealer fees are ridiculous -- that's why i keep walking. I get to finance - and then i see the final OTD fee and my payments are sky high with stupid dealer fees.

Respectfully, you're assuming most enthusiasts (the target market for both cars) don't care about features (interior, in this case), always prefer AWD to RWD, don't care how the body looks, don't care about weight, don't care how many doors the car has, don't care about handling, and will make up their minds without test driving both cars. While some of these assumptions apply to some people, I'd like to think the modern enthusiast takes everything into consideration before making a purchase.

Highly doubtful which is why the stance scene exists. Just calling it like I see it. Not all but most like you said.
