no one goes to a larger turbo for the sole purpose of slowing the onset of power. that's just a happy side effect for some. they do it because they can make more power per psi.

it makes far less sense to use a smaller turbo and artificially limit it's spooling characteristics. that's a worst-of-both-worlds scenario, offering the same spool characteristics as a larger turbo (which some view as a downside) without the increased efficiency and overhead.

3 main reasons we went with a "big" turbo:

- We can make make big power with great spoolup even at lower boost levels on pump gas.

- We can easily increase power levels with the ADDITION of components such as WMI or E85 flex-fuel, rather than having to REPLACE half of the components on a base turbo system when we're ready to crank up the power.

- No matter what anybody says, you are NEVER satisfied with the power that you have, period. It's human nature to want more than what you currently have. If I had a dollar for every customer that told me that "this" is all the power I'll ever need, I would have enough money to give away free turbo systems to every member on this board.

Choose wisely the first time around and you'll only have to choose once.

I'll sum this up, TLDR; Go big or go home.

The smaller spool turbo would be the 3582

The lag on a single only gt60 would be like...
