Cool doesnt pay the bills. Happy sponsors pay the bills, happy sponsors are made by winning races and being on the track racking up points. A tried and true engine(ej) will ensure you to be out on the track making poits, a new platform(fa20) is a huge gamble....one thats not worth losing sponsor dollars over just to be "cool".

So you are basing your inclination that Toyota doesn't care because you blew your engine with modifications that certainly voided the warranty on your engine? Hate to hear that happened to you as I would be pissed, but that is definitely not Toyota's problem. The DI seal issue however should be for those that it happens to, unless "abuse" is really involved, which obviously no one who really did abuse it would admit to.

Hope everything turns out well with your car though.

Why do you still own a car you dislike so much?

The coolant issues and replacement head happened on a stock motor, aside from a catch can and a header back exhaust. The only other mods were to the suspension, and that certainly wouldn't void the warranty on the engine.

But I really don't know if those issues are what lead to the catastrophic failure when I finally did strap the Vortech kit on, but that doesn't detract from the cold shoulder I received from Toyota when the car was initially having issues, as well as the blame they attempted (and subsequently failed) to place on me.

I heard they're gonna make an FA25 ITB that revs to 9,500.

Yes ITB means individual throttle bodies here.

I'm looking forward to see a good N/A kit to be developed.
I'll be all over it. That's why I'm mostly buying only N/A mods.

It's a sequential transmission. That unit costs almost as much as a new FRS.

Crawford said it was a better engine than the EJ for making power. This motor is only a couple years old now. The biggest problem is car enthusiasts are impatient by nature.

You are right, we have just to be patient and wait... We already have options available for forced induction, although I would probably be more interested on a kit which is also providing improvements on the internal. I'm not feeling comfortable on applying a forced induction kit right now considering the high compression of this engine...
