I can't blame my dealer at all... they have given me as much info as they have been able to share.

I'm not about to cancel my order, but I'm certainly not impressed with Subaru right now. Not sure I would special order another car from them in the future.
Subaru has definitely been outclassed by Scion in just about every regard when it comes to this launch.

I can't remember another new vehicle launch that's caused this much excitement. Especially on the Toyota/Scion side. Very exciting times for sure.
I'm a sales manager at a Toyota/Scion store in Massachusetts and I have verified with our region that we will get (we being the around 78 dealerships in this region) 460 FR-S' from now till December. With a mix of 80/20% manual to AT. There will also be around 90 more coming in in January 2013.

The west coast will receive theirs first and the east coast is expected to see them towards the end of May

Damn, they looked so much different in all the other pictures.

If I wanted to drive a big metal box I would've ordered a Genesis Coupe.

Hopefully my Firestorm one is the one well above the water line and it can still be rescued...

So, does anyone know the name of the ship carrying the cars?

I don't think anybody here knows the name of the ship that's coming to the east coast. I would guess that it's either very close or has already been there.

I would recommend to find somebody in Ontario, Quebec, or one of the other eastern provinces and see if they have a boat attached to one of their VIN's but I don't think even that will help since I'm now pretty sure that all Canadian cars will be coming through Vancouver and shipped out east by a different mode of transportation.
