Yea, exactly like it is.

Toni's pics are proof of the interactions with customer and mine is a "drops mic" meme.

Anyone can say whatever they want about Toni, but the fact of the matter is, in the pool of tuners available, he is one if not the best. I've seen him work already several dyno days and seen him responding/creating tunes for customers and he is detailed and really looks at all logs to custom tune. Even when that means working a Wednesday to 1+ am, working 7 days, etc.

I'm not convinced that launching a new product by bad-mouthing other vendors, directly or indirectly, is really a great idea.

Well I would like to provide my .2 worth of my experience w tony. Over the logging process, my car has made a drastic improvement over each tune. At first I was with Visconti , but due to the issue of being able to communicate w him , his other guy, along w the lack of improvements over tunes, I switched to fa20club since I heard some great things. Oh I have a vortech, motiv op, motiv fp, and ark catback

The tune right when I purchased the car pulled harder up top and felt smooth, but knew there was more room to play w and out of a first base tune, I was pretty damn impressed. With on going tunes, I noticed the car pulling harder and becoming smoother throughout the rpms through updated tunes. At the point where I am now, I'm extremely happy and glad I got free remote tunes. Even when I got my header and new over pipe and front pipe, tony was right on top of it and got me my updated tune for free and really quick. Again, the car felt even more alive and now just rips like no other from low end up to red. Of course all of this took time to get logs done and to send them to him , but none the less, im extremely happy w my end results. Oh and lets not forget the popping issue I had with my car while driving in higher rpms and when I would blip my throttle I had with Visconti, now it's gone. Smooth pulls, under heavy load, high rpms, blipping the throttle to downshift, and no pops like before. Fixed with tony.

Again just my .2. Logging process has improved my tune and I'm very happy with it. Take the time to do it. From my understanding, he tunes specifically to your car. Thanks @FA20Club.com

Rant is over. Lol.

I appreciate your effort allow shiv to beta test on your vehicle but you should have done it impartially. Especially since you sent me one log where you car was running extremely rich. your LTFT were disabled so I could dial in your maf scaling and you never submitted any following logs as a follow up. My tunes have never been advertised as a “Canned” tune and never will. I tune every vehicle specific using you datalogs so if you never submit a log it will never show full potential. Your base files primary purpose to to have you log and a RaceRom enable rom which allows for some of the extended logging parameters to be recorded such as IAM MAF voltage etc.

Your email g=here stated yourtime line and concerns 1 week before your track evet yet you never opted to send back your logs

OpenFlash and ecutek nay sayers have built everything up into the fact you cant tune your own vehicle. Well the issues is neither can 95% of the brz/frs owners. Ive always been in favor of directly tuning each car and getting rid of the whole canned tune idea. This is why my tunes are always tuned remotely for free. If you dont take advantage of that then youre honestly throwing your money away when you make a purchase from my company. It takes allot of time and effort to get everyone up and running but its the best way to guarantee results.
From there you tune is built on and edited using your tunes. I welcome the fact you and Shiv would consider me a fake tuner seeing the success ive had and the openness I offer my customers to take their cars to the dyno anytime and have me tune for no extra charge remotely. I would not give anyone that option knowingly without the confidence that my final product will perform as expected. Here is your original log showing your LTFT and to why they were disabled to start your tune.

I understand the fact that I have asked questions regarding this platform over the recent months and jumped on board makes me seem like the major obstacle to overcome but i have always said I favor open platform just not tuning on them. Lets do some math for a bit. The offering here is still a retail/profit item call it open if you may but the software was created years ago and freely distributed. OpenFlash seems to have robbed either ecutek or brzedit of def files in a couple months and now are selling a handheld that is openly sold for about 175-225 depending on volume purchased for 500.00. even brzedit doesn’t allow the reading of ecutek roms but Shiv has managed to dump a file from a competitors product. And one thing i noticed is why was the base file you had Jeff’s IAM set to 1.0 when the only file I sent him had it set to factory .7. So at this point I dont understand why you edited the file and what else you did to try to lend credibility to your dyno session. I would always be willing to compare tunes but to the extent that you are trying to push your product and hack code from other vendors im yet to be a fan. im sure some other ecutek customer in the area with either e85 or forced induction would be willing to let you pull a map to create your next tune. im sure that will save you boat loads of time.

Then the validity to the product is mixed in with thats like going on the dyno and shiv loading one file and not being allowed to revised or make changes as he did so I don’t consider that a true comparison. You file is as incomplete as it can get. And why would you think that you would have to pay a local ecutek tuner to revise your tune, when I have always offered this remote tuning service for free of charge. I have verified this information from our emails and you submitted one log which I replied with an updated file to disable your trims so I could dial in your maf scaling and afr targets and you ceased communication at that point. I can only assume that you have some reason for doing so. I don’t want you to think you were slighted in anyway or form with your purchase because we have and always will offer remote tuning. And you can verify this because all my tunes will rarely match up to another other than base settings each other value is edited throughout the tuning process just like on the dyno.
To be honest, I was waiting for an ECUTEK tuner to respond to this thread.
As with your tunes, you do not disappoint

Wow...I didn't know that. Yeah, this OFT is seeming more and more like the obvious choice.

I don't think that Shiv was made aware of the situation when he was looking at the tune of Toni. I understand your frustration, but his observations were spot on, he was just misinformed to think that was the extent of the final product. The responsibility was on Jeff for not explaining that. You shouldn't take that as a stab at you, Toni.

As for Jeff, if you payed for a tune and didn't even take the 5 minutes out of your day to submit a log file, then that's just a waste. You can't blame your tuner because they can't manually retrieve your logs.

Vishnu is a great company and I hold them in high regards. I also hold Toni at FA20club in high regards even without any experience with him personally. Stop a pissing match before it begins. Stop looking for drama, its the internet. That's what your woman is for.

I don't have too much experience with tuning (have not been on a dyno with my tune, so I can't say much beyond what the butt dyno says ), but here is my 2 cents.

I was going to go with Visconti's tune (this was before the car-fire fiasco), but I bought a cable from someone who used FA20Club's tune and he said they would hook me up.

Well, they did, kept in pretty good communication and it wasn't advertised as a one-step program. It specifically stated to send over datalogs to keep the tweaking going. They haven't failed to make an update when requested (had the logs sent over). Sometimes they respond to an email of mine near 1 in the morning. Most people don't work that late, so I give them props for putting effort into it.

Perhaps EcuTek does certify some bad tuners, but @FA20Club.com is not one of them.

In regards to Toni's tuning I am a completely satisfied customer and have been for several months. His initial pump gas base map tune was not a significant improvement over stock but that was kind of what I expected. After sending him some logs the 2nd and 3rd revisions were a huge improvement. Car definitely had more power along the entire rev band and the car was pulling much smoother. Even after more revisions it still seems to improve no matter how slight.

I was so happy with his 93 tune I purchase an e85 tune from him a couple months ago. When I switched between his initial e85 base map and my optimized 93 map there was only a slight difference in power but, again after several logs sent on e85 its like night and day. I know he made a lot of improvements as I kept sending him logs because I would compare his e85 revised maps to my optimized 93 which wasn't changing. I am addicted to e85 now.

When I go FI next summer I already know which tuner I'm using and that's Toni at FA20club.

This for sure skew the test data and it is unfortunate that the customer in question did not take advantage of your remote tuning to dial in his map. I do think this person should have made that clear to the OpenFlash folks for the sake of a fair comparison.

.
Let me first say that I have respect for both Toni and Shiv. Everyone knows i have referred several people to Toni after seeing how terrible the tunes were they got from other EcuTek tuners. I know Shiv from many years ago when he came to atlanta for a few dyno days at Dyno4mance.

Shiv has spent a lot of time getting to know the ins and outs of this platform from a tuning perspective while helping develop the base maps for OpenFlash. He and I spoke several times during the beta period about our tuning experiences with this platform. He learned some things from me, i learned some things from him. I say all this to say, i can assure you he is not using anyone's tunes (aside form the factory maps that is) as a starting point for any of the tunes he does.

I gave him my E85 injector scalings last week, which i also gave to everyone else and credited Toni at the time for helping me figure out how to scale the DI's, to save him some time so that he can get on with E85 testing because i really want to see how the tunes turn out so i can continue to learn the details of tuning the FA20. He may or may not use them but i offered them to him anyway.

Just wanted to add my .02 cents to this as well - I've had the experience of two master tuners for EcuTek - of those experiences Toni has been a great guy to work with - and very responsive, usually within 24 hours at the latest I'll have an update to logs. My car has actually had over 10 revisions, each one a little bit better than the last (car is being remotely tuned for Flex Fuel, probably much easier to do this in person with the tuner, but hell I live in Ohio..... enough said ) - the few times I had questions around CELs I had a response within 2 hours.

Toni's service is awesome, even when I can guess his enrollment numbers have gone up thanks to what happened recently with the car fire - I do recommend him when asked by others that were in my situation.
