Yes, if you are a track only car then higher spring rates would be required based on the tire grip patch. Your tire is a spring with a breakaway rate based on the contact patch so the spring rate has to match the tire. The shock can change the speed at which the rate is increased before the break away occurs. I guess that's a long way of saying the more grip the more spring/damping needed. Spiderman cape extra not batman, sticky not slippery.

While I appreciate this and see great benefit in it...
Personally I would not another electronic variable. The concept of re flashing my shocks on a car with a mostly sloppy stamped steel suspension seems over kill.

Looking forward to seeing how useful this is however.

Yo bruh had some right front shock hesitation on that lap gotta pit in a reflash my Visconti damping rates. But have to open a ticket first.

I hear you, it's the same efi/carb argument both work in a given window just as well. I wonder what this chassis looks like on a 7 post shaker, maybe I'll call in some favors?

Now if the spring rate could also be variable...

Need an upper/lower a arm suspension for that and use a blade spring with 0.250 of total travel, now you are talking about 1500-2000lb springs and high volume shock valving. Not this week.

I have no idea what it does. Honestly, I've tried it once or twice, now I just turn off the traction control all together and be done with it. If you wanted to re-purpose that button I highly doubt anyone buying this system would care.

The VSC applies the brakes based on how out of control you are in yaw. It did a good job last winter when I was driving back from Charlotte during an ice storm. Several times I was crossed up and it pulled it back in line, I was playing with it on and off just to see what it does, finally the little picture hung me a bird and hid under the speedo until I got home. Ha Ha but it does work. Maybe include the snow switch for the manuals, don't know the cost.

Seems pretty cool and they aren't super expensive.

Just for giggles I contacted a local company, Magneshock who makes Magneto-Rheological shocks. Right now they only have the ability to pre-program compression/rebound curves, although the controller can store 2500 different profiles, but they said race teams have built their own realtime controller for them. Not cheap though. >$10K.

Yea, I've known those guys for 30 years he got screwed out of the MR patent thanks to a military contract. I used to have a business on Buford highway in the 70s/80s before I moved to the SC mountains. MR fluid is neat stuff but is expensive and abrasive, the new Corvette is going to the Bilstein Damptronics both because of cost and warranty issues. With MR you can build the valve stack in software by just using an orifice but at $750 a pint just can't do it for the street market. Illegal in most pro racing.
