Here are some pics and shock dyno graphs of the shock package, I will get some data logs from VIR Sept 2/3 to show the G load reaction, car sure feels great I can't wait to get on the track.
Thanks

Is this a special Bilstein package not available to the general public?

DougW 08-18-2013 08:14 PM

I'm using the Bilstein Damptronic shocks revalved with custom end caps and mounts to fit the FR-S, this is a package I am working on to sell in the next few months. It uses my controller we use on Porsches and the Nissan GTR so you have complete control over the shocks real time using CAN data not just a soft or hard setting.

FYI the green line on the graphs is the stock shock, the red is the range of control the Damptronic package has. As you can see full on is a full race rate that will knock your teeth out.

How quickly does the system respond to changes?

Is it strictly based off of CAN readings or does it use internal accelerometers as well?

Kido1986 08-18-2013 10:05 PM

Sub'd for more info!

DougW 08-18-2013 10:06 PM

I use the high speed CAN data for steering rate, Lng G, Lat G, brake pressure rate, accel rate to change the shock maps for each shock depending on conditions. They respond in about 10-30 msec depending on comp/rebound. There is another thread from 8/10 that covers some of this.

So in reality when not racing but driving in rough roads this would be much softer and more pleasing then stock and by looks by a large margin? As CSG Mike asks interested to know just how fast this responds. THIS is very interesting!

This...looks really nice.
