Just to let you know, I plastidipped the rear spats with carbon black and I did not love the finish. It was too black compared to the brown rear bumper part with the light. I feel the original unpainted matches the brown front and back better. My plan is to apply a good sealant and keep it clean. See how it holds up. If it fades, plastidip maybe the only choice.

The reason I'm asking is that Bayson R themselves are recommending Plastidip as you can see below. I inquired about purchasing a full lip kit and they only have polyurethane front lips in stock and ABS everything else so if you want the finishes to match you have to paint it somehow. From Bayson R: "Yes, the polyurethane material color finish will be a bit differ than ABS plastic material finish since they are different material. If you prefer to have all these parts with the matching black finish but not spending too much on paint, you may consider apply plastic dip for now on all these parts. So then all these parts will be the matching matte black finish." Also shout out to Rockland County, my home town. Is Car Club still meeting at the Taco Bell on 59? |

Don't know if these are any help, I just did these a couple of days ago with regular black plasti-dip. Doesn't match the bumper/diffuser exactly but it's close enough for me.
I would note, I didn't want to put screws in the bumper so I put a small piece of 3M tape on the end of each one. Well, 3M tape will lift the plasti-dip layer right up if it's moved at all so it's gotta be placed right where you want it the first try. In the end I used a couple of screws anyway and I'll respray these at some point. Also lost a couple broken clip pieces up inside the thing behind the bumper/rear wheel. lol. ![]() . |
