Thanks!

Yeah, I've got an HKS drop-in filter about to go in, and am going to trim the OEM snorkel a bit, but I'm holding off on anything further due to wanting to still having the warranty in tact in case an engine issue arises, and wanting to see how this whole DI seal thing pans out and how the engines hold up in the long term.

Later on I'm planning on OpenFlash Tablet and OpenFlash Header, Raceseng Pulley Kit, and a Overpipe/Front Pipe combo.

Depending on how the Jackson Racing S/C cars hold up over time, I'll probably end up going that route eventually.

Did the snorkel modification (cut and widened the opening w/ heat gun) and added the HKS filter:

how was the bumper to take off? I gotta do mine soon for the perrin oil cooler. I'm not familiar with the snorkel mod? Idea is to get more air in?

Bumper removal was pretty much straight forward, just a bunch of push pins and 10mm screws/bolts. Only tricky part was figuring out how the side markers come out; basically you just push in the metal tab that you can see facing you when you pull the fender liner back while pulling the side marker out and they pop right out. Bumper comes off by pulling it forward gently and comes right off the car.

4-5 hp gain with the HKS filter and snorkel mod, snorkel mod helps richen things up a bit and a bit better flow to the intake. Basically cut the snorkel and flare out the end.

You know it's totally unsafe though right? lol In the event of a real collision/accident I mean.

What do you mean?

I don't use the harness on the street at all; only the OEM 3 point.

On track I use the Harness bar/Schroth Profi II ASM 4 point. I talked with Schroth and their distributor, HMS Motorsports, and it was recommended for my setup with stock seats to go with a harness bar and Profi II ASM, as a harness bar is required in our cars to get the proper angle of the shoulder belts. The harness bar mounts to all of the factory seat belt mounting locations.

The Profi II ASM is the only 4 point I would consider running because of the anti-submarining technology built into the harness. It's also FIA approved.

http://english.schroth.com/racing/technology/asm.php

http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/s...m/profi-ii-asm

Now there are a bunch of arguments each way regarding harnesses/harness bar in a rollover, but the likelihood of a spinal related head/neck injury from contacting a wall is much higher and much more likely vs. a rollover or injuries from a rollover. Not only that, but the BRZs fair pretty well in rollovers.

A buddy of mine wrecked his car and the OEM seat back broke (as it's designed to do). Imagine how friendly that bar will be then.

Some groups will not allow you to run that, including events I help run
