About two weeks ago. I've already put 750 miles on the car since I've had it. I've seen another raven and a lava. I stay in the Madison/west hutsville area mostly

Stopped reading thread here, I'm sure there's a nice Ford forum somewhere you can talk about the 'quality control' issues on this car. You came to the wrong place to ask for more unnecessary construction (read weight) on car who's philosophy is LIGHT fun-to-drive car.

OP has a very valid point.

With all honesty, it's cheaper grade b/c it's built in a Subaru factory. I'm not being a d**k or anything, it's the truth.

Some of the quality issues such as the thin paint, interior crickets, random rear rattles were pointed out by previous Subaru owners here on this forum.

It's a shame that you guys pay 25K+ and MSRP for the FR-S, when an 18K Corolla has better quality. I test drove one and drooled the first time I saw one at the dealership. The more I got to evaluate it from the exterior and interior, the more I realize it a cheaper grade and not worth 25K+ sticker.

You and every other fanboy quoting "OP is a TROLL. OMFG SELL THE CAR. No QC because RACECAR" are ignorant and idiotic.

I never said the Rustang was any better of a car than the FR-S, I never said Ford was in any way a higher quality manufacturer than Toyota/Subaru. I am saying that other vehicles of mine have had a sturdier construction than the FR-S - and as such, I am questioning the overall quality of the car. I asked for a peace of mind to reassure me that this vehicle was not going to fall apart/explode if/when anything unfortunate happens.

This thread IS NOT a discussion on any other vehicle VS the FR-S - it is a discussion that I (mistakenly) believed would resolve any concerns I had regarding those areas on my vehicle. Its ridiculous when every 16-year-old Toyobaru fanboy and shit-snorting ignoramus has something to say what I previously drove - If I wanted anything similar, I would have bought similar; plain and simple.

Despite 60 replies and over 2000 views, there are THREE legitimate replies addressing my concerns in this thread.

Mods, close this shit.

After reading a few dozen posts similar to this, I've come to the conclusion that a very small percentage of owners are actual Automotive PURISTS. Everyone ran out and bought this car because of all the hype. Just wait until Nissan's new coupe hits the market and another batch of critics surface.

Assuming that he's not trolling...comparing construction of a 2005 car to one from 2013 is going to lead to problems right away since manufacturers are cutting any little bit of anything to meet EPA standards. Let's grab a 2013 Mustang, Taurus, A4 and a FR-S and see how they stack up. The 2013 mustang I sat in was full of fake chrome plastic crap hooked on with 3M tape...and for the price of a 2013 A4 I'd probably have bought a used Cayman. *2 cents*
