Just a fun fact: 1970's Hayashi Race Car, Formula 3, Sitting on Hayashi Command 15x8 and 15x9.0... It's a long history with this company. This F3 was built with aluminum (before they had carbon Kevlar(r) race cars), and was constructed by DOME, the same folks who build today's Super GT 300/500 class carbon cars for Honda, Nissan, Toyota...

Just my opinion, but the Hayashi's don't match the 86. The classic design looks great on an old car (AE86 and before era) but on a car like the FR-S/BRZ, it looks very dated. The FR-S/BRZ is a curvy, flowing, forward design, while the Hayashi's are very blocky and straight, and they are rather narrow/skinny for the car. I'm a lover of Hayashi wheels, don't get me wrong, I've owned a few sets over the past 16 years, but to me, I like more period correct type styling. But as they old saying goes, each unto their own.

These Hayashi's are amazing. What a unique and beautiful wheel.

I like those a lot. I also wish they were a little bit wider, but you have to work with what you have. I would consider picking up a set for sure.

Is it odd for me to want these wheels in 16X8? I just want the old school look with a meaty tire. I think the smaller diameter would make the rear panel function better with the back wheel.

Personally, I have trouble finding wheels that flow with the rear of this car...

But these with a stepped barrel would make the wheel cater to the modern design of the twins. That's only if Mr. Hayashi would be inclined to modify these legendary wheels.

I think it's the same as Omega Watches changing their Speedmaster. That watch has history, heritage, and although it doesn't look as modern as an Oris Chronograph or a Tag Heuer Chrono, it's timeless.

Hayashi has that same appeal.

Hayashi Streets always catch my eye, on any car they're on. They have such a rich pedigree.

THE car that made me want hayashi's :

[ame]http://youtu.be/F13djcRXTSM[/ame]

would be awesome if he made 17inch aggressively sized wheels for the new 86... i would consider them.
