My Wilwoods are doing fine right now, even though I have yet to get an opportunity to test them on anything more than spirited driving on public roads. Without taking it to the track I feel that I can't give any real insight as to the way they deal with track conditions.

Your best bet is to check (or have your wheel seller check) the fitment templates. Here are all the templates for the kits we offer:

Essex Sprint Kit wheel fitment template

Essex Endurance Kit wheel fitment template

AP Racing Formula Big Brake Kit Six piston front wheel fitment template

AP Racing Formula Big Brake Kit Four piston front wheel fitment template

Wilwood makes decent brake products however they are nowhere in the same league as AP Racing. Just walk down any top level motorsports (Formula 1, WRC, Super GT, Aussie Super Car, Lemans, etc.) paddock and see what brake/friction products they are using.

We're rocking the AP Sprint kit on our road race car.

I assume that since the AP Racing Sprint fits the Enkei RPF1 17x9 +35; there Should not be a problem with the Enkei RPF1 17x8 +35....right?

You may need a minimal spacer (2mm) for peace of mind

here is their post about why you should always test the wheel. 17x8 +45 worked, but 17x9 +45 did not.

I dont have the rims or the brakes at the moment. But I want to make sure it all fits and works together before I buy anything. And hopefully without spacers.

Thanks for the link

Each wheel is different due to spoke design. No one single offset will work, as each wheel spoke design is not the same.

The 17x9 + 35 Enkei RPF1 will fit. Other wheels that may be 17x9 +40 could work, but a 17x9 +40 RPF1 would not as an example.

AP all the way. Someone had their dust boots melt down on the Wilwood kit already if I am not mistaken from track use?

The rotors will not touch the spoke at any time with the AP kit. We have had plenty of hard lapping days with this setup and there are no issues.

35-45 offset are just right for a 17x9 wheel on our cars, IMO.
