I don't think so. At worst we will have to run a few dedicated wires. I'm in it for the long haul but am up to my neck in honey-do projects.

I'm hoping @NahumCC discovers we all have the same engine harness. Then it comes down to building a couple custom cables for the doors.

At a minimum you need that relay, the mirrors themselves, and the cables from the doors to, hopefully, already existing connectors under the dash. The USDM mirrors don't have heating elements and I've had my doors apart. There are no wires for the heating elements.

I'll definitely take photos, when I have the dash under the driver side apart for doing the fogs, of both the engine harness side and the side going into the door to see where the wiring disappears from.

Do you have any photos from when you had you door apart looking at where the mirror wiring harness connects. It just very odd that we have the four wires but get nothing.

Also if any of the Canada guys or BRZ Limited have photos of a mirror housing taken apart with the heating elements I'd be curious to see them.

Unfortunately they're worthless as I was focused on the window adjustment at the time.

bought these like a year or two ago and wired up the signals and heat pads at the same time. no issues since install. otherwise if you just want to install heat pads off ebay on your stock mirrors then the instructions off this page should pretty much work the same way. just a positive and negative.

You had to run wires, right? Did you tap directly into the rear defroster circuit per the instructions?

edit: Duh. I took this picture and forgot to add it.

yeah i tapped it the way the instructions said to do it. i also commented/reviewed the product because i had to tap a slightly different wire for my car. not sure if mine is different or if the instructions were wrong. they updated the instructions to reflect what i ran into.

yeah i had to run wires. i already had wires run because i installed door step lights so it was a bit easier. no other resistors or relays or anything and i haven't had any problems... so far. haha.

Those "instructions" suck balls.

Yes, I had the defroster on. If you look a few pages back you'll see photos from my fuse box where I was checking with a voltmeter to confirm that, at least in the fuse box the first two pins that would need to see power were receiving it. Those being the kick over feed from the rear defroster relay to energize the heated mirror relay and the power from one of the main inputs. This was all done prior to me buying the $20 relay.

More to come when I have some free time.

Oh, I hope I didn't give the wrong idea. I was just thinking there's no way a beginner could make sense of them.

For the record, I disagree with tapping directly into the rear defogger circuit. Even if the load from the mirrors was negligible, (I don't think it is) if there was a short in the mirror circuit, it would take out the rear defroster along with it. It's in a separate circuit because the driver relies on the rear defroster more than the mirror heaters.

IMHO, the OEM circuit design is spot on.

So the FR-S color wiring document in the help section doesn't have the callout location for the connectors from the wiring diagrams; just the number of wires in a connector.

The BRZ document had it and after looking at the diagram I went to go search on my car last night and came up with nothing. The wiring diagram didn't match and its so tight under there I couldn't some up with anything

ED1 is supposed to be the one on the right (according to BRZ schematic) with 10 pins but that's not what we see.

Have you tried looking into the Canadian FR-S wiring diagram since they have them stock on theirs or could it be the connector on the left as it has 10 pin outs?

I have a 2014 Monogram FRS. It has heated mirrors. Rexspeed mirrors are a perfect replacement if you want to retain heated mirrors with a wider viewing angle
