Pics please. Never heard of or thought about this......

I haven't been able to get under there yet. I will try tonight. After I thought about it I see where it wouldn't make any sense unless it was used at the subframe or upright. If you had it at the strut connection in the rear it would only change the angle of strut but not affect the camber at all. I'll get pictures.

You could consider the rear suspension similar to an unequal length double a-arm because there is one upper a-arm and then a longer lca. Then in addition to the toe link there is a trailing link. I haven't really thought about it but I suppose this was for anti-squat or something. Here are some pretty good articles about the rear suspension:
http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-suspe...-i-travel.html
http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-suspe...bumpsteer.html

You definitely want camber gain with compression to compensate for body roll and tire flex in a corner. Like I said, the rear does a much better job than the front. The front suspension will only gain about half a degree from stock ride height and then go back to where it was at full bump. Essentially this means that for every degree of roll you need a degree of camber to keep the front tires happy and optimize grip, except that you need to be able to brake and want the tires to wear evenly. A stock car probably rolls around 5-6 degrees under max cornering.

So for a McPherson to work well you basically need a lot of caster and camber and a big swaybar.
So what I took from that article is that 0 rear toe would be good in these cars since it always goes inward?

Forgot to get back in here and post what I saw. Rear camber bolts were installed at the control arm to the subframe connection point. So essentially the same adjustment location of the aftermarket control arms just not as much adjustment.

I wish i had seen this, i would have got rear camber bolts instead of the SPC control arms. The SPC are about $280 but have a very nice setup for adjusting camber. I am surprised camber bolts work in the rear honestly looking forward to more info.

You might have a camber bolt in the rear, but it certainly isn't attached where you are describing.

The BRZ doesn't use a rear strut, and the attachment points of the rear shock do not have anything to do with the camber or toe settings on the car. Control arm to chassis or control arm to hub are the places to adjust the rear alignment.

I think he has them where the lower control arm mounts to the subframe.

I corrected myself here.

And confirmed it here.

Adjustability at the hub, and bracing added to increase the structural integrity. This part allowed us a nice weight savings of 4 lbs per arm!! This is of course due to the OEM part being made from cast.

We will be offering all of our suspension parts with a urethane bushing option for those that are interested.
