Garage
It's never bothered me, even when I lived in the 'burbs... Now I'm in the city and I have a garage... I have no claim over the 25 feet of parking in front of my house and it's always packed.

I get peeved when workers park in front of my garage in the alley though (unless they're working on my house) - have to lay on the horn for minutes sometimes, if I can't figure out where they are.

So your garage is in the back of the house, in the private alley? We had a house like that once, but you weren't allowed to park in the alley without fear of getting towed. Luckily for us, across our house was an undeveloped land, so there were tons of parking for my block. Haha

Yup.

No one parks permanently in the alley, just temp parking. I've seen it in some wider alleys I pass walking to the train but...

I park in the alley to wash my car. Room enough to get by, though not ideal. Most folks seem understanding here and I'd move if I needed to. No trash bins out front is really nice.

Update for all, spoke with who ever owns the car I've been talking about. I'm not sure if he's a guest at my neighbors, or what (one car is missing, and this car showed up, so I'm thinking it's just a replacement car).

Just for starters, I kindly asked if he can just scoot his car back on trash day because I had no where else to put the bins. He apologized, and I said thanks. I just looked out my window, and now he's parked it in front of my other neighbor's yard. lol. I have a feeling his car is going to go back and forth between the two spots.

Oh, it's for sure in the win column, but now the other neighbor has to deal with them parking in front of their yard (which wasn't my intention).
