CONGRATULATIONS!

Now, before you drive it off the lot ...... check the crankcase oil level and tires pressures (including the spare).

On your way home keep back from parking stops ...... a lot of them don't fit under an FR-S.

Read the manual the first chance you get ...... ALL of it.
(if it didn't come with a manual - it's on-line)

If you have questions; 70% of the answers are in the owners manual; another 20% can be found by searching this site; another 5% can be found by posting the question to this site ....... and 5% do not have an answer (that can be agreed upon at least).

NO hot rodding ........ until YOU get broke in ..... (not the car .. YOU)

Drive careful......!!

Congratulations!
The FR-S looks sharp in Yuzu! And the following features are also quite appealing:
  • TRD Quad Tip Exhaust System
  • TRD lowering springs
  • Custom-designed aero kit with a rear spoiler and side fender garnish
  • HID headlamps with LED daytime running lights
With such a sharp-looking & sounding sports car, you may want to keep an eye out for "unwanted attention." The RS 1.0 is definitely not a sleeper.

Anybody know what this chip does? Tried googling and it's very cheap($50-$60) and not sure what the improvements are

Love this car so much, still getting use to the clutch, fairly new to manual, getting it into 1st is difficult for me but it's only been a day. Driving back to Orlando tomorrow.

Nah keep them, put a bigger wing on it, neons under, swap all the globes with blue lights, and don't forget to weld the doors shut.

Good looking machine!

About that chip thing ....... it may not do any good ....... but then again, it may not hurt anything.

For shifting, you may consider this technique:

Remember, a warmer transmission is a happier transmission.

I would suggest that when shifting, wind up the last gear pretty tight (4-5,000 rpms) before shifting into the next higher gear.

Also, when shifting, pull (or push) the shift lever slowly and firmly into the next gear.

It's not a toggle switch ..... the lever is moving heavy transmission parts.

I suggest you NOT "lazy leg" it ……. do push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor.

Happy travels!

Thanks for the advice! And you are right about the chip, I guess I'll leave it for now till a real tune and the biggest issue I have right now is just letting the clutch out too fast, but I'll learn.
