I was interested in a replacement rotor that is the stock size for weight loss and not needing to purchase an entireBBK kit. Let me know if you find one. I couldn't.

They're stock sized and 2 pieces. Might not be much of a weight saving. |

I have questions about replacing my OEM brakes pads front/rear with new OEM pad kits from parts.subaru.com. Just noob questions, I will try to order these parts soon.
Ok first question, there's two different OEM pad kits for rear disk brakes, different parts numbers; is there any difference between the two? http://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_201...6696CA000.html http://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_201...6696AG051.html Second question, so I need a seal kit? http://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_201...6297FE000.html Thanks! |

If all you need is to replace your brake pads from wear then just get the pads separately. You don't need a kit with all the other clips and such because you can reuse your existing ones. See if any people on the forum have some that they don't want anymore as there are a lot of people that have upgraded their pads to a better pad or have bought a big brake kit. That's how I have a couple extra sets of OEM pads. If you haven't replaced your brake fluid in over 2 years then you should do that as well. Here's a link on how to do it. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24614

Since it's a relatively light car, I've been doing OK with W1s for DD, occasional spirited driving and a couple of track days a year. |

I have an 86 as my DD and have everything stock currently, this upcoming summer I plan to do may be one track day and may be some drifting on a skid pad. My future plan is a few days like this per summer.
I planned to upgrade my brake pads to Project Mu HC+800 pads and use DOT 4 brake fluid as I believe this should be suitable for daily driving in the summer with a few days of drifting and may be a track day or two. My question is should I switch back to the stock pads during the winter months? would the cross-over/hybrid pads be bad during the winter months? Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk |

Expanding on that post about the Performance Package Brembo brakes, what hybrid street/track pads fit as of now?
