This is by no means my first performance car and I love everything about cars. Just feels good to back into a manual in the first place.

Just going to do some basic mods and bolt-ons for a while, we will see how it goes. This is the daily right now so its got to be reliable. For now its just getting whatever info I can from the community and having fun with the car. Thanks guys

So I am not at all new here. I origally had a 2013 FRS that got flooded 4 months after I bought it. Well finally today, I got my second FRS. And I feel extremely blessed that I was able to get the Release Series 2.0. This car far exceeds my 13. But anyway, car show tomorrow in Columbia, SC. If y'all are in town come say hey! As soon as I figure out how to post pictures from a cell phone, I will. But the car is stock so you already know what it looks like. I'm just really excited to be back in the 86 family. :-)

Hi. I'm also in Arizona. I got the 2016 FRS just two weeks ago. I've been wanting one since I saw them in 2013. Knew i had to get one and had to be in manual. Just as fun as I thought it'd be and even more exciting. Look forward to learning the car inside out and seeing how i can really make it my own. Always lurking and browsing see you around

Hey forumites

I'm Andy, a mechanical engineer and petrolhead, from the "tiny" european spec called Slovenia

I've recently purchased a barely used 2015 Sunrise Yellow GT86 from a German Toyota dealer.

Aside from the small oil leak from the timing cover (driver side) which will get repaired under warranty the car is an absolute blast

It just loves winding roads and since our country is riddled with them, well, lets just say I tend to smile...a LOT

I hope I'll be able to contribute to improve the already superb quality of this forum.

Cheers

Old school new guy

What's up fellas names Tony from PA just recently bought a 2016 FRS 2.0 #116 on 8/6 day...have been kind of skeptical about the boxer engine in the cars since they came out which is why I never brought one but after a few years of following the FRS's progress since its release I decided to buy one when the 2.0 came out cause it fit my style preferences. Anyhow been in the AE86 schene since the early 90s and still have one along with another early 80s starlet..going to keep my new car fairly stock for a few months as I learn everything about it, hit the mountain roads a little bit and see what needs to be changed to suit my needs..thanks for the add...cheers

So somebody (I won't say who) told my wife that the standard 21st Wedding Anniversary Gift is "Sports Car".
Next thing I know she shows up at my work and tells me to come outside. There's a new FR-S sitting there and I go "wow, what the hell is that?" I had no idea. So she and the salesman made me take it for a spin.
Oh Yeah. This is great. I've got a cool old lady.

Were they both in the car with you when you test drove it? That poor soul who got relegated to the back seat!

Awesome wife move though. Err... Does that mean you have to get her one too?

Hey everyone! New member here, bought a 2016 FRS MT in Ablaze three months ago. This was really the only car I wanted, probably had something to do with growing up in the 90s JDM dominant era. After waiting a few years I finally got one, and I smile everytime I walk up to it.
