Warranty isn't an all-or-nothing deal. If you replace a filter and then have an issue that the dealership can prove was a result of the aftermarket filter, they can deny warranty coverage for that specific issue.

That said, Subaru OEM oil filters are the best. As far as air filters, just pick your favorite and run with it. I like the Perrin. With any oiled filter, be sure to clean your MAF regularly as the oil can build up on it.

Lol, just about. Usually don't run it that low but I was getting tinted in Tigard and waited to get gas till I was back in WA. I can pump my own gas thank you.

Had a bad experience with a "service attendant" filling the wrong fuel in my wife's car after I had requested and she had verbally verified, but still managed to hit the wrong button. There went my fuel economy records for the 1500mi road trip...
