45 pages in one day!!!! wow! i can't read all
only one question for me, is it exactly look like future toyota FT ? It's different of the concept in 2011 Geneva Auto Show The more i see the evolution, the more i think it will be more expensive that it was announced... |

Overall I'm please with this example. It looks good and has fine features. I'd buy it.
However the real product won't look exactly like this. |

I really do like it.
I Just hope the production Toyota verson looks more like this one than the FT86II concept. Since in NZ we will most likely only have the choice of Toyota or Subaru. |

Have been reading this thread since the leaked photos first appeared yesterday morning, but I didn't have a chance to reply.
The MkIII's return to the MkI's clean design is a pleasant surprise after the MkII's bling. Of concern is that Scion Public Relations told ************* that the price "will be under 30k" (which implies it'll be above $25k). And of course the weight is still unknown. On a related note, assuming they stick with a 200hp 2.0L high revver, I'm hoping we'll see at least 23/32 MPG given that Subaru just announced the next generation Impreza 5MT will get 25/33 MPG. Despite the FRS being RWD, I don't think it'll match the Impreza's MPG because the base Impreza [1] isn't tuned for throttle response and [2] makes only 148hp. For reference, the 201hp Civic Si is rated at 22/31 (FWD, but a 2.4L). Tangential factoid: the new FB20 engine in the Impreza is reportedly slightly heavier than the outgoing 2.5L (due to DOHC vs SOHC and other changes). Anyway, I'm headed to the NYIAS for the weekend just to see this car. |

At 168in length, I'm thrilled that it's shorter than even a Hyundai Accent (172in). How awesome is that?

Here is the entire Scion FR-S Concept press conference portion from its debut yesterday at the 2011 NY International Auto Show. Enjoy!

Might as well go aftermarket and get a good tune + engine management (like a Cobb Accessport). But then you have the warranty issues for those of us that worry about that + will use it for our DD.
