No. Not interested in collecting them that is why I specified a driver car. I would however like to leave the better ones to the guys that do just want to rub wax on it.

That is the dilemma. Getting the right one for the right price and not to feel like you are throwing money away. It is fine to say not to save it for the next person and quite another to just piss money away from driving a car where you will destroy it's value.

I’ve always loved the saying that “not driving your car to keep the miles off is like not fucking your girlfriend to save her for the next guy” or something like that lol Based off of that, I can tell Tcoat is a great guy

And I have always thought that was one of the most pompous sayings ever. There is also no reason to take a beautiful woman and grind her into the dust because you want to and can.
I think you still misunderstand what I have been saying. I don't want to use up a special car that is pristine. I would rather see those ones stick around in that condition for others to see and enjoy. I would rather have it's slightly uglier worn sister to use so that I don't feel bad by adding more ugly and wear.

Same here. I appreciate the well done desirable cars, but I just can't be one of those guys. I have been looking at the less desirable cars. One of my older friends DD's a 67' Comet, a Comet was his first car. It is a "looks great at 10 feet" car. He had a fresh 302 put in it and had the interior upholstered. It has an okay paint job on it and is straight. He gets to enjoy it all the time.

Exactly! I don't do a thing on my car now because it is just work. If i got my hands on a 70 Mopar or late Corvair I would be up to my elbows in grease all the time because it would be fun.

Those would be my criteria. I do not want nor need to have a showroom condition car so why ruin one for sombody that does? AND, lose a pile of money doing it!
