I have too agree that trying to save a car for some future person to enjoy makes no sense to me. Buy what you can afford to drive and enjoy. Its what you can afford a 500 dollar, or a 200,000 dollar.

Ugh I got a pair of gloves from amazon to prep for the trip to japan since it’ll have some frigid mornings. Just tried them on and my forearm / wrist has several red lines and hivelike things. Wtf.

That is the dilemma. Getting the right one for the right price and not to feel like you are throwing money away. It is fine to say not to save it for the next person and quite another to just piss money away from driving a car where you will destroy it's value.
