Installed my non-offset axleback today...looks and sounds good!

By the way, both tips look even.

Installed mine from the group buy. The right tip sticks out about an inch further than the left one, but I'm more than happy with it since it gives the car the sound it has been missing. If it bothers me later I'll just take it to a muffler shop for a quick-fix.

Installed mine a couple of days ago. The tips on mine are even(or close enough I can't tell). Now I just want to ride around with the windows down...

The back part of my front pipe was really misaligned. It made a huge exhaust leak that was extremely loud and it sounds like my car is farting constantly. I got under and took off those spring bolts, loosened every other bolt, then refastened the spring bolts.

Kept tightening, the gap was still there. Tightened more and more until the spring bolt broke off and the spring shot 20 yards out from under my car. I am very lucky it didn't hit my eye, because I got lasik 6 months ago and any force on my eye can tear the flap that exists on top.

Anyways, I'm calling nameless tomorrow. I feel that they owe me not only a new front pipe that will actually seal but also a new spring bolt that broke from over tightening while trying to install their defective exhaust.

That gap would not close no matter how hard I tightened the bolts.

Extremely disappointed with the build quality of the exhaust. These amazing welds people are talking about were mediocre at a few joints. My front pipe would NOT fit no matter what. And now people are having alignment problems with the tip. Nameless should take their time with this exhaust. I expect a perfect exhaust if I'm paying over 1k....

Did you put the donut gasket from the OEM cat on the HFC? It doesn't look like it in the pics.

It looks just like this

and slides/fits over this:

If something isn't right, you shouldn't try to force it. That will save you a lot of grief for future mechanical work. It is easier to take the time to figure out what is wrong instead of trying to fix what you just broke/bent/stripped/messed up. >< Also Dude, get some safety glasses and wear them! Protect those eyes! I'm glad you didn't hurt them.

Actually, there is. I put my front pipe in on Wednesday and didn't put that gasket in. I had the same results he did until I realized I didn't put this donut gasket back. Dropped the pipe and put it in and the issue went away.

Unless you're agreeing with me.

its a completely adjustable exhaust (no matter what exhaust you get)...if you loosened every single mounting point and every joint, installed the correct gasket and tightened that particular unit then it should seal. If you did all of that and it still wont seal then yes call Jason and John at Nameless they WILL help you out, but pics of mediocre welds please...

Yes I was saying in his picture there was not a gasket, not that there should not be one.

Welds are welds, as long as it's not going to crack it's sitting under the car...

But yeah looks like you forgot to re-use the donut gasket, was a common issue on the WRX catbacks as well. The Perrin catback does not re-use the donut gasket but it's made not to.

Also make sure that's the first joint you try to tighten and not the last.
