I'm trying to implement the usual values for the quiet cold start, the exact same as seen in steve99's post.

According to his post, the tables that require editing are the following:
-Ignition Timing Post start
-MAF Correction After Start (In-Gear)
-MAF Correction After Start (Neutral)
-Idle Control
-and turning off the P050B Engine light..

It seems that both the MAF Correction tables are absent.

I triple checked that I am using the correct XML definition- ZA1JD00D.

Would I still achieve a quieter cold start with these tables alone?

Any help is appreciated

Yep the MAF correction after start tables and load limit tables are not in the standard oft defs.

Thet are probably in wayno's defs attached to his post.

if you don't do the maf offset tables the car will still idle very high even if you change the idle target tables.

however the oft guys do different calid changes to roms so check a few tables in your tune if your using wayno's defs and make sure everything looks ok, if theirs any weird values don't edit your tune. see the romraider tips link below

Is this like flex fuel? What happens when you changes gas? Since there is only 1 file.

If you change fuels, you have to drive a bit until you see fuel trims drop, pull over, them flash the appropriate tune for your fuel.

There is only 1 file for the new Stage 2OFH files.

No specific files such as 91, 93 or E85. Just 1 file.

Ah right right. If you read the readme file included with it, it states that it is for 91 or (better yet) 93 octane gas. So they do not include an E85 specific tune. Maybe contact Shiv if your looking for one, or just use the standard Stage 2 E85 EL/UEL tune.

So according to some posts in this thread the new Stage 2 OFH tune has to be run on 93 oct fuel, but in the release notes in the Stage 2 OFH tune (downloaded from the openflash website) it says to use either 91 or 93 oct fuel. Which is correct?

Those maps are more aggressive so 93 is preferred however, i'm sure ourecu would adjust and pull timing to protect your motor. I'd probably use 93 just to be safe...

Yeah I was on the Stage 2 OFH tune but it just didn't feel right so I just flashed the Stage 2 UEL 91 oct tune instead just to be safe.

Issue with stage 1 is based on the info provided the map is for EL and most of the aftermarket headers are uel

Best to stick with the stage 1 if you don't want to do some additional tweaking to the oft stg 2 tune.

Why don't you start with stg2 EL tune. Considering your setup from previous post, your best bet is to get it tuned via ECUTEK or something more advanced/stand alone.

The OFT UEL tunes are suited for their header & any header that matches their layout (E.G. Tomei UEL or Gruppe-S). Anything else will be off.

Is it safe to pull like 1 or 2 degrees from 5000 rpm onward as a precautionary strategy? Curious on how much timing you pulled and where?

[
QUOTE=DarkSunrise;2674084]I was curious today and compared the OFH tune vs. UEL v2.076 in RomRaider, trying to see why it was running leaner. I didn't see any changes in MAF scaling, but the base timing, IAT timing compensation, timing advance, intake/exhaust cam advance and AFR targets had all been tweaked. I'm not an expert but the OFH tune appears to be designed to run leaner and with more ignition timing, but also with additional dialing back of timing to compensate for heat/IATs.

I ended up taking out a little base timing at medium loads in the midrange and at high loads near redline. Drove for an hour afterwards in 90 F weather. No FLKC and minimal KC (random) so things looked pretty good in the logs. Won't know for sure though until I do some repeated pulls later this week.[/QUOTE]

Similar due to cat less or similar due to the shape
