Some have mentioned that a larger throttle body can get more from the SC

so I was searching for a larger throttle body in the past few days

Found this 70 mm

http://revo-tune.jp/catalogue/detail.php?id=294

And the TODA Racing

http://www.rhdjapan.com/toda-big-thr...6-brz-zc6.html

Will these fit the SC? Will they increase the HP or TQ ?

thats a good way to get the oil to the correct level... you can't really see the oil on the bare metal dip stick.. i have a black dip stick that i use as well that shows the oil a lot better.

as far as track days.. the intercooler does a pretty good job at keeping up.. it will "Heat soak" until it gets to an equilibrium temperature. and then it will stay there. It doesn't run off to some insane temperature.. the ecu has no idea what the temp of the water is or how hot the charge air is post cooler so power won't change too much... its a little noticeable but you will see a larger fluctuation with AIT than with the cooler circuit getting warm..

I would invest in a tablet or phone and run torque pro $5 and a cheap obdII adapter $12.. its an easy way to keep an eye on the critical things like oil temp, coolant temp, fuel trims ect.

Ive spent 40 minutes on track going as hard as I could and the car never skipped a beat..
Wow, thanks for all the info and the great tips!
I have a ScanGaugeII that gives me some info on the engine. I also picked up a OBDII bluetooth adapter, but haven't given it a test yet. I'll try running Toque

If you already have the ScanGaugeII you don't need torque as it will show oil temp, water temp, and basically everything you need except oil pressure. Here's the thread on how to add things that aren't already built into the ScanGaugeII using it's custom code thing. I use it and it's great, plus no silly extra devices like tablets or anything to look at. See my build thread for pics of where I mounted my ScanGaugeII with velcro.

Even better! I actually have the SG located in the same place as you. Seemed the best place for the car to me. I have been wondering how people were getting oil pressure to show.

On your build thread (impressive amount of work, nice), I saw you put the Radium Catch can in. I recently got some, and haven't installed them yet as I didn't know how to run the hoses with the supercharger. Do you know how to run the hoses?

See page 148 of this thread. It should give you a good idea. It's very easy once you know which line to unplug and plug into the Radium hose. I had a document write up but it linked to pictures that now have broken image links, so that document is worthless now. Too bad you don't live close as I'd just help you install it. I never saw anything come into the intake side when I had the dual cans so I sold the intake side can. The other can does pick up a decent amount however.

And knowing is half the battle, GO JOE!

If you have one radium can, run the inlet line of the can (top port) to the PCV on the block. The outlet (side port) will go to the back middle port of the supercharger.

If you have two cans, the same applies as above, but the other can you will hook up the outlet to the intake pipe on the supercharger, and the inlet will go to the line that was previously plugged into the intake pipe.

As stockysnail said, page 148 has the photos and layout.

Not sure who to ask this of, figured this might be appropriate.

About two months after installing the SC, I've had a few codes pop up in the last couple of weeks.

First, I had P0201 (Injector circuit malfunction, cylinder 1). I noticed some hesitation, the car then wouldn't idle, then after sitting for about two minutes the problem disappeared.

A few weeks later, I got P0301 (misfire cylinder 1), but noticed no strange behavior at all, and it stayed gone for about a week once I cleared it.

Yesterday, I got P0201 and P0101 (MAF malfunction) together, with the only strange behavior being a bit of a wandering idle. I cleared the codes but they came back in a couple dozen miles.

The only thing I can think of is that during install, I didn't realize that the body of the ICU is a ground, and when I went to re-attach it to the crash shield, it arced. I'm going to double check the injector connection at cylinder 1, because the codes popping up continually doesn't seem like it should be a coincidence, but now that there's a random MAF code as well, I'm starting to think something else is up.

Any advice?

( @moto-mike , if you'd weigh in I'd appreciate it)

What injectors? Are you using any aftermarket injector covers on the passenger side? (what the injector controller bolts and grounds to...)

Stock injectors and covers. I'm somewhat tempted to buy a new ICU, but that seems like a pretty strong chance of being a waste of $300. I'm just sort of at a loss as to what else it could possibly be.

The direction of flow is unchanged. But you'll find the routing is a lot easier if you put the intake catch can on the right side of the car and the PCV can on the left.
