Looks like the amber/red is mainly on the hvac controls. The radio looks to have primarily white as the color. Would be rather odd but I've seen manufactures do this before.

Scion's front has a lot personality... but oh my god, I'd never drive a car with THAT interior no matter the price...

And I wonder why'd they show the lowest spec car in reveal? Makes me think this IS the highest spec car actually...
thats a pretty harsh way of categorizing the people who dont need the extra bulls__t in a car

+1 I want to drive it, not live in it. Don't need no stinking DRL (didn't like the GT86 version of the LED's), heated or folding mirrors, I hate heated seats (additional weight), don't like leather seats (stay cold in the winter and burn your ass in the summer). Cloth seats do not retain elemental properties and I value that over leather's appeal.

What else....I thought having dual climate in such a small arse car was not necessary (again, additional weight added to do that and it aint worth the option).

I would have like the white tach, but the fact the tach isn't just plain black like the rest is fine by me. If there is a white option, I will option it on.

You sure? Here's the same head unit in a TC.

http://www.japanesesportcars.com/pho...7_0-6.jpg.html

It's definately red for all of the buttons, only the display is white.

TC speedo/tach etc is also amber/red lit, as is the BRZ and GT86/86.

So if that is in fact a white tach with white lighting, well it's going to look pretty strange IMO.

It's like this for example...TRD Suspension is not crappy, but it isn't exactly "race" spec either. It depends on the car. The TRD setup for the Fj Cruiser for example is from what I can tell...pretty sweet. Now I don't know what Aftermarket has in terms of Suspension for the Fj, but with the TRD stuff for it, I would have been happy....if I had an Fj.

But for the tC...TRD suspension is ok, but it doesn't run stiff spring rates that you would find on TEIN or any of the alternatives. Can it work sure but it cost the same as more potent gear from the aftermarket. And if I'm going to buy something why would I pay the same price for a softer version of it if my goal was to extract performance.

Again, this is how I see ALL factory options, not just Scion.
LOL dude we all know what you mean. just poking fun at scion's supposed performance parts. for the 2011 tC for example, they list a panel filter and a Cold air intake. if you look at the fine print the CAI is a "race" item and it does not carry a warranty. furthermore, there is a bunch of legal language warning you if you use unauthorized/race parts and/or dont have the parts installed at a dealer they can void your warranty, etc. so these "performance options" are nonexistent in the real world...

Of course I'm not sure. I'm just basing it off of what I'm seeing in that particular picture which is not that great to begin with to determine this kind of detail. But I think you just proved that they do mix illumination colors.

For a sports car, making add-ons like that void your warranty is a joke. They all do it, and it's not because of the parts themselves, but they figure you will race and abuse the car more, increasing the likelyhood of something failing, and when it does, they can say "well, you had a CAI so your suspension blew up"
What happened to the times when you bought a WRX and subaru actually game you coupons to attend rally-cross events.

LCD Display illum sure, that's pretty common. Button/controls match gauges generally. I can't actually think of any car that I've ever see where the gauge color didn't match the color of the controls for audio and HVAC.

Ok, here's a pic of the GT86 gauges with the headlight on indicator. Illumination looks white in this pic. Of course all these photos are taken with outside ambient lighting interfering.
