The quality and fit of the Remark Elite is quite amazing for the price. But it just drones like crazy in the car. It was hard to justify $1800 on an ARK exhaust since I was already $7k deep in suspension/wheels/tires. And another $2500 in PPF/ceramic coating......and I only got the car in Sept.

What's super annoying is that you can pay a ton of money for a good exhaust and it's annoying.

Catback nets you no real gains other than noise.
I’m thinking of going from bone stock to uel headers only and a qtp electronic cutout before the rear muffler. They make active exhaust for Miata’s why not brz/frs?

Ark was next on my list but I couldn't find enough sound clips to decide if i'd like it (I did have an Ark on a previous car though, which sounded amazing). |

I've got some other plans for the car later in the year when I get my bonuses. And replacing the exhaust it up there. Already done quite a bit since taking delivery in Sept. Currently have the front six speakers of the OEM Audio+ to go in, and the GR add on ducktail.

MXP SP is great. Nice quiet burble when driving, no drone in the car, but opens up when you put your foot in it.

CSG Touring is really quiet too. I don't really like how "sharp" it sounds outside the car but inside the car it's got a nice tone.
I wish the Perrin had a Helmholtz resonator, it would be perfect otherwise IMO

Installed the Spec L2 today.
Definitely a tamer exhaust compared to the muffled JDL axle back. Close to stock while cruising around town and opens up when I want it to. I no longer have to deal with a fussy cabin. This is exactly what I am looking for! |
