I suggest flying business class on Turkish Air. It's awesome.
That's my airplane story.

I'd suggest not picking the curry on an international flight. Of course it didn't hit me until it was time to land.

(When you click the link the site plays the engine starting up and it's loud so be warned) It is on my bucket list to go fly with them for an hour orientation flight at some point. I just need to save up the $4,500!

Ok, my only cool plane story. I hope I didn't tell it already.
I was about 9, and my Dad and I were meeting my Uncle Frank at a little airstrip in Watsonville. My uncle lands and parks his plans at a tiedown right next to a Japanese Zero. Wings folded up and all. I had just watched Tora Tora Tora about 5 times in the theater a bit ago with my Dad. It was awesome. I'm like all over this plane, when the owner comes out. He was a friend of my uncle. I watch him lower the wings, then he says, "you want a ride?" Hell yes! he told us it was a torpedo plane, and where it was shot down and pulled out of the water. I don't remember the details, too long ago. I almost lost my breakfast with a couple maneuvers he did. It was only probably 20 minutes in the air, but the coolest thing ever. |

I noticed @korhun mentioned Papa John's. Good to know they have shitty pizza in Turkey too.

while i was in grade school, one of the leaders of my cadet group(like boy scouts, but differenter) worked across the street from the local airport. word got to him one day that a plane with stuck landing gear was coming in--full emergency response, foamed runway), so he filmed the whole thing. yes, film.
he later gave the footage to the pilot, who offered to take him up for a ride sometime. more words between them, and the pilot agreed to take up my cadet group one at a time with a parent. so i got to fly in a small single engine plane before i had a drivers license . for no good reason, it remains the only plane i've ever been in. no fear, just don't care enough to bother fighting TSA to take the chance again.

My Fiancée hates it when I write in cursive on the whiteboard wall... It's the proper way though. Damn millennials...
