I could, but I've been lazy lately. LOL!

If I'm going to get under my car to work, I might as well just replace the over pipe, header, and mid-pipe too...

I'm contemplating just having a car lift installed in my garage...

The thread has been quiet for a while.
Is there any update on the automatic transmission option? Sounds like that work was in progress, but still there is no official word on the JR web site. Is it ready yet?

Yes, I've seen it. I like that smile.
But the official site, and this "official" thread don't have a final confirmation. I mean - if I'll buy the kit now, will it come with the AT tune?

That is the final tune; the kit is already CARB.

Please specify that your order is for an AT when you order

i just read that it seems like the MAF doesn't flow enough, does that mean that the tune that comes with the ecutek is MAP based?

Does that rule out the BRZedit option? anyone ever bought a tuner kit to work with a brzedit tuning?

The CARB tune is MAF based. The included air straightener allows for the MAF to accurately measure higher levels of flow. However, others tuners have also successfully tuned the Jackson Racing supercharger kit with a MAP/SD conversion.

From what I've gather being a forum whore, the JR tune is MAF based. But, it's at the absolute limit of what the MAF housing can do before the air flow gets turbulent and therefore causes the MAF to become unreliable. Based on that, other tuning options should be able to work, but they wont be able to make any more power than the OEM tune from JR. To the best of my knowledge all of the aftermarket tunes are a hybird of MAP/MAF which allows for more power.

There was hinting of a larger MAF housing, either from JR or another company. That would allow other tuning options to work. I'm surprised Shiv hasn't jumped at this. A MAF housing should be easy enough to make and would further broaden his market share.

hmm ok but i guess the CARB tune is with a fully stock exhaust, what if i have a completly straight exhaust, is that going to be too much flow for the MAF?

Anyone know if BRZedit can do a hybrid maf/map like ecutek?

My understanding is that your setup will be too much flow for the MAF.

I doubt BRZedit has the abilities but I don't know for sure.
