That is pretty interesting. How many of y’all would’ve bought it though?
I would have gotten a targa top or maybe a hard top vert but I doubt it would have happened like that anyways.

I would have bought the targa (with louvers) immediately. Convertibles are MomHawk's domain, but for her it has to be a Mustang.

Random 86/BRZ fact of the day.
Open-top 86 almost happened. Make it more interesting, it was going to be built at Magna Steyr (where currently Supra is built). Due to some agreement issue it never happened. Not sure agreement from Magna Steyr or Subaru (my guess Subaru). Who knew... they had design ready to built, but that design never happened.

Magna Steyr is a subsidiary of the Canadian-based Magna International. They're an evil, vile company known for screwing over employees, suppliers and contractors at the drop of a hat. I'd wager it was Magna NOT Subaru that squashed the drop top twins. It's a shame too as they had running pre production models as seen in this video.

Also, rumors were that to off set the extra weight of the chassis and roof they were using alloy for the major sheet metal like doors, hood and truck. Guess we'll never know now.

Great day for a half day. The lady i work with directly usually doesn't get here until around 10 and always leaves before 4. Today she got here just after 10 and left around 11:30. I have no idea if she works from home, or just doesn't care.

That, I would not buy. But a simple removable roof panel, maybe. Though I already would have had mine so probably wouldn't have upgraded. But my wife does like convertibles...
