Hi Ken,
Glad to hear you are finally placing an order for the FR-S. I also wrote off my Corolla way back in '93, and sadly it was an AE86.

Thanks guys - i will miss the Corolla
But I love the Yaris rental I had and the current loaner - no mods for the Yaris (other than HIDs and maybe some fogs ) - but my wife said I can do whatever I want to the FR-S
I have even tentatively sold my K-Sports off the Corolla locally... every bit helps towards the FR-S mods....

Who needs hockey?

When you can skate with the FRS too and from work. 5:30 am this morning was fun as there was no traffic. 2:30 this afternoon not so much.

The little car handles the white stuff pretty good. I woke up to about 20 cm this morning. Got stuck in the driveway (own fault), and took the long way in to town. Traction and stability nannies work good. I could feel them reacting quickly and keeping the car straight...It really wants to dance around in the snow. It would have been a great day to find a big parking lot and shut them off if only I'd had time.
The last couple of blocks in town had me pushing snow with the bumper. Little car kept on moving forward, albeit rather slowly. I love my Blizzaks.

Thanks guys!
I'm having so much fun with my car that, even if it's winter and we've got tons of snow, I rather drive the FR-S on a daily base instead of my Magnum.
Even on slippery roads it's really hard to lose controle with that car. Most of my cars have been rear wheel drive and I think the FR-S handles better than any other I've had.
I haven't check the manual yet...but any of you guys know why the TRAC OFF always turns on automaticaly after spinning out?

I believe it automatically turns off once you reach 50 km/h.

I usually run it with VSC Sport on, but with all nannies on, it works quite well in the slippery stuff.

today was the worst driving...

if you only push Trac Off for a sec it only disables temporally, you need to push and hold for it to turn off and stay off.

It is meant to be temporary with a quick push for those situations where you need a bit of wheel spin to get un-stuck. Once the car gets moving at a steady speed (around 50kph I think) it will revert to default settings.
Holding the button to keep it off also shuts off the stability controls (just in case you didn't already know that). Personally, I'd want some practice time in a big open parking lot with the nannies off before trying it on the street. This car is pretty lively in the snow, and with my luck, I'd nail a curb with a wheel or worse...

Good to hear they are changing it out for you. I hope the issue doesn't return. I noticed a small amount in mine after a wash, but haven't seen it again. I'm sure it's only a matter of time. I did have the small 1/4 window in the driver's door replaced due to a torn seal. Belleville Toyota handled this quickly and on my schedule. I have also noticed the weather stripping issue that occurs when closing the door and the window pulls the seal out of shape. Have you checked for these issues with yours?

Congrats! You're gonna love the FR-S. Have you had the chance to see an Ultramarine in person yet?

Thanks Roddy. i will keep an eye out for that. although I think because I park in a garage most of the time, the harshest of weather doesn't have enough of chance to get at the car.
Also Ken. Congratulations on the purchase. Did they give a timeline? I was a little surprised that mendes has a Raven manual and an Argento automatic in stock right now.

Thanks! I do run it with the VSC Sport on but I would like to drive without any driver's assist at all...to really push it a bit further.
