OMG I JUST WATCHED TOP GEAR S18 Ep 3 and THEY TALKED ABOUT THE GT86!!!


They said it wasn't the best looking car in the world, which I suppose is true, and they also were very happy that it was RWD and that it was a Boxer!!!

They did say that 25k pounds was a bit pricey, but once Clarkson drives it, he will love it.

Yup! Sadly, American sales matter a lot to Toyota, so I really hope people understand and start buying this car! Otherwise, they'll have no reason to make a new Supra lol.

Problem is that at this point they will have filmed everything but the live stuff which means even if he does drive it there won't be a segment on it. If anything they may just mention it again in the news in a later episode this season. Either way I feel it deserves a lot more than it got on the show tonight considering how many rave reviews it's received worldwide. What's even more surprising is how they kind of bagged on it tonight (calling it essentially ugly and pricy) and made no mentions of what a performer it is since Top Gear Online wrote a raving review about it.

I think it would've been a great piece if they would've had one of them in the Toyota, one of them in the Scion (I know, I know, practically the same car) and the other in the Subaru all bickering about which was better. Of course maybe I'm a little biased when it comes to the car though...

I wonder if it's an issue at all with the timing of the release. I bet you they were filming most of the segments late summer/early fall before the production car was even ready. I just hope Toyota/Scion/Subaru weren't restricting the amount of time they could have with the vehicle and that decision resulted in the cold reception on the show. I would've given (like said here, keep) each of them a car to get them to do a review. They will make the money back thousandfold and then some when an amazing review about an affordable rear wheel drive sports car hits the millions of Top Gear viewers.

Bah, considering all the great praise the cars have received I just wasn't expecting this at all.

We need to organize an effort to twitterbomb all 3 of them into giving the car more coverage. Even if it means more competition for the cars when they are released... It'd be better for the car in the long run. I'd hate for these cars to suffer slow deaths because of low sales figures.

I finished my Trig homework the night before it was due. I was soo embarrassed. It was only 5 problems but the actual lessons took 4 1/2 hours to finish.

I got this in an email from Sewell Subaru:

"Hi Mr. Hussain,

We have a list of people interested but we are not taking any deposits because we do not know our allocation. Once we know our allocation and the colors we are getting, then we will contact our list and take deposits. Do you want to be added to our list? Please advise. Thanks!"

So I suppose they are going to get a certain number of cara in certain colors and sell them like that!
