1: What is the point of super pursuit mode or whatever it's called? I (apparently mistakenly) though it was an on/off for the ESC.
It is a switch in series with the gas pedal actuator switch so you can have the system armed and ready to go but effectively disabled. It gives you the ability to activate the system while already at full throttle, which would be a major no-no if you tried to do it via the arming switch. It's mostly for the hardcore types that want the ability to easily enable it on straights or as they are exiting a turn, but not mid-turn.

Good thing is the MAP isn't used for fueling calculations. Very strange though. Nothing was touched with the MAP sensor was it?

The map is in the Manifold. It's under the boxer cover. You would know if you touched it.

A general question about CELs... If I clear a CEL and then restart, it would show up again immediately on restart if the problem that caused it still existed, would it not?

They aren't there while driving the car to dads, the car is turned off for 5 minutes, the three CELs show up on restart, I drive 1/2 a mile, turn off the car, clear the CELs, restart the car, and all three of the CELs are gone. They didn't come back the two other times I started/drove the car later in the evening.

What do you mean by "not running the auto on"?

I'm just leaving the ESC armed all the time now.

Yes that's what I mean. Maybe then leave it off when you shut the car off and then switch it on when the engine is idling. Just to rule out anything funky happening during starting.
