Ran out of work in less than 2 hours today. No one is in the office and I've been asking around of the people that are here for work and no one has anything. It's a beautiful day and I might just end up leaving early.

Lawnmower (walk behind) shopping day! Any recommendations? Battery, gas, nuclear?

Also, some days this 9/80 thing works out (I have off every other Friday). 70s and sunny all day.

How much lawn? Is is flat or a high angle rescue area?
I got a gas mower with driven wheels.
I've got about a 30deg. pitch, so not going to push it up and down without help.

The battery options have become much better since the last mower.

.3 acres including house, so probably .2ish? Partially steep hill, so definitely getting one with driven wheels (old one has that as well). I guess I need mulching capability too if that's not something they all have. Idk, old one was from my parents so this is my first time.

For that postage stamp, electric would be the way to go.
Neighbor has about the same and is happy with it. Has an electric string trimmer too.

I've not noted the prices on them though.

I think that driven wheels reduce your choices to the gasoline-powered group.

The newest battery-powered ones are really nice but time flies. Just like with my cordless drill experience, I fear that you will realize that the blade lasts longer than the battery. My wife's prized electric mower is already going that direction. I warned her. :/

Yeah, and batteries are expensive if you treat them as consumables. I was leaning towards gas anyway.

Yeah... But as Ultramaroon pointed out, batteries aren't necessarily good forever. Idk...

You can also buy a lot of gasoline for the price differential for the price of an equivalent electric.

My yard is about the same size as yours. My self-propelled 23" mower uses about 2 gallons of fuel for the entire season (April-October)
