First auto cross went well enough. It went:
DNF 59 seconds 51 seconds 53 seconds 56 seconds. Last three runs included at least one cone hit, last run was three cones. I started to believe I could outdrive the car on my last 3 runs, and my over confidence really showed. Had the reigning champ in my car on my last run, so he could tell me everything I'm doing wrong. Apparently it just came down to too much steering input. Looking forward to more events this summer. Had an absolute blast, and I'm looking forward to just enjoying myself at the events, while working on the fundamentals to get a bit quicker. Also, another big reason I want to go more, is that every single person there is so willing to help, ride with you, let you ride with them. There are tons of cool Cars, so it's like attending a meet, but getting to do something other than stand around asking about wheel offsets. |

@Cole what kind of autocross group is it? i'm still looking for something in the midwest, want to avoid scca after a run-in with a few of their a$$hole members who laughed at me for wanting to autocross my lebaron, and then laughed even harder at my cousin wanting to autocross his 2wd lowered dakota(they said it was a rollover risk), and then insisted that anything less than a fully track-prepped v8 miata was a waste of time to even bring to a track. so i screw around on the street.

Got rid of my garage speakers tonight. Wow. Bought them in 1985. I'm throwing and giving away so much.
It is going to be a whole new chapter in my, and my wife's life. Her last day at work is friday. We will be a retired couple. This is a bit trippy....unreal. |

I remember when we moved from a 4,000 sq. ft. house on three acres is Missouri to a 1,700 sq. ft. house here in Washington, a LOT of stuff had to go. First, I had this huge bon fire going in the garden area that ate up a lot of stuff. Then I filled the 100 foot long 30 ft. wide driveway full of not quite junk stuff, in piles marked $1 and $5. I had to sell my 1956 Ford pickup and 1970 MGB - I gave most of my heavier tools (arc welder, gas welder, table saw, band saw, drill press, radial arm saw, etc.) to my sons. Good luck thinning out - humfrz |

Wait, season? I was talking the movies from 2004 & 2008. They're both over 10 years old, making either spoiled enough to fertilize a garden.
What kind of speakers?

For some reason, I'm doubting they were his horns and block.
