I found a pretty good spot to mount the charge meter for anyone having difficulty deciding. I know it may be a little bright at night, but I don't care... it's very easy to keep an eye on here.

In the 3rd photo (B&W) you can see the panel it runs behind. You simply pull to pop that panel back, put the wire to the right of the panel connector and the pop the panel back into place.

I was thinking about that spot... does it stick well, but not TOO well? I want it to stay in place but not booger up the finish on the plastic...

Yeah, it sticks nicely. The double sided tape/foam that Rob uses isn't extremely tacky.

I used a little dish soap to clean the area, then went over it with a damp towel and dried it to get any sort of adhesion prohibitors off without destroying the finish.

Then I just made sure to hold it firmly for about a minute.

Hey guys, thanks.

I will put more details in the install instructions... it is hard to tell how much detail as some just 'install -> done', others need more specific guidance.

Kits from April 2 onwards have revised 'hold down' blocks so the Neg extension cable can be easily swapped. So far all the guys (except GaryNJ) who did the 1/2 dump conversion needed to cut and re-attach the eyelet... I did PM that this extra step is required.

I am sending out a 1/2 dump conversion to Shiv on Monday.... he is reconfiguring his car so hopefully a few tune updates will happen soon.

Cheers, Rob.

If you could just integrate the .5 dump pack instructions into the regular instructions, that would be helpful.

That and some of us don't work on cars much, so too much detail would be better than just enough. I'm sure I was being TOO cautious overall... Don't want to screw up the engine or electronics on my baby. I remember the first time I changed wheel bearings on a dirt bike without having seen it done before. Probably took me 2 hours. Now I can do it in 30 minutes. If I were to re-install a Phantom ESC from scratch, I could probably do it in 1.5 hours.

Still, even with the minor issues I ran into (the biggest issue of which was my getting interrupted with work and then overlooking something), it's hardly unreasonable to spend 3 hours to gain this much power and torque.

Incidentally, I let my kart racing, engine building, transmission mechanic father in law take a drive today. He's notorious for being critical and skeptical.

He was quite impressed, commented that the kit was well designed and that the increased hp/tq were well worth the money... that nothing on the market could provide similar gains for that amount of money and that minimal amount of effort. He joked about putting one on his minivan. LOL. And, "I didn't know there was anything like this on the market..."

New 1.5 dump pack log:
http://datazap.me/u/jac/brz-oft-fp-f...om=10685-10732

Seeing 4.5psi max, holding 2psi until redline. Not bad. AFR doesn't seem as clean as it did with the single dump pack though.

EDIT: Interesting to see how much max boost drops off on a sustained 2nd - 4th pull:

Are we positive that we don't need a new tune why the ofh?

I think I did way more than 22ft lbs because I don't have a torque wrench. Bad?

I mean it probably wasn't that much over.

I don't think Shiv uses a different tune with his OFH equipped shop car.

Haha, you're probably good.

Just keep checking your AFR for major fluctuations. You'll go to the rich side and probably smell exhaust, stopped with the windows up if there's a leak, at least that's what mine did.

As for the tune, I asked Shiv about that while I was getting my tune from him and he said that we do not need a specific tune for the UEL. I would imagine that he'll be coming out with more specific tunes once he gets going on the 1.5 dump pack tunes that Rob mentioned, though.
