It will both raise it and soften it. Plus, it will have 91 and 100 octane maps, and it is going to be fine tuned to my intake/exhaust.

The 100 octane tune should be lots of fun.

It boggles my mind that they're going to ban E85 next year, when it has an AKI of 95-96, but 100 octane can be used as long as it's federally approved for highway use. Especially since the other big argument for banning E85 is availability and cost (mostly indirect cost with E85). It's not like 100 octane at the pump is plentiful and cheap.

Maybe I'll write a letter asking for our corn juice back...

What size of rims are you using for the 245 tires?

I bought a groupon for a special event that they had last year. It was just a few "follow the leader" laps, and then being a passenger for 2 laps while one of the instructors would go full-on in a Corvette ZR1

I will be saving for their Grand Prix class next year, but I also thought about doing the karting before that (since it's cheaper).

Let me know if you decide to do it... I'll join you.

Is it good luck if two of these do the dirty behind your car and you have to wait for them to finish so they will let you back out of your parking spot?

17x9 Enkei RPF 1.

Keep in mind that changing stuff on a car will likely change SCCA class, so if you like autox, you will want to choose wisely.

I was just curious, in general, since the 215 seem a bit narrow for me and I was thinking of a wider tire size... just random ideas.

Thanks!

One thing to keep on mind is that the stock tires have a fairly narrow tread for their rated width. Other tire models in the stock size may run wider, for example most of the popular summer performance tires have around half an inch more tread width in the exact same 215 size. That being said, 225 seems to be a popular choice for the stock wheel size.

225 is the way to go with 7 inch wheels.

Just got myself some new stopping power for the Z!
Cool thing about this old school trick is that any late 80's Toyota 4X4 4piston calipers will fit the S30 Z's just perfect. So I decided to go with '86 calipers just for kicks lol
