After inspecting everything on the intake, it looks fine, I'm not sure if they send me another one if its going to work any better. Does anyone in AZ have an Injen intake? Does it work better than the stock intake you had? Maybe we could hook up and swap and see if it does the same thing? I hope I can at least get my money back if nothing else. I've never had an issue with an intake before so hopefully this goes smoothly...
I can hook up my custom intake I made on your car to see if it acts up. If works good its probably Injens, but if you are still getting problems, that seems like its the way your MAF is reading.

Got a question for the miata/former miata guys here: I've got a friend that recently picked up an NA miata and is looking for a good place to get parts and such; any hints you guys can give me to pass on to him I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Yea man I'd be down for that test. It would eliminate some options.

I am looking forward to these new tires.
Remember, new tires have to scrub, except r tires. The ZII take about 25 run before they are broken in for example.

Looking forward to it. I will take you guys up on the offer of guidance and seating time with the experts so that I can learn.

By the way, I will run on stock tires and I happen to agree that it's a good idea to do the first runs in them. If nothing else, you can compare those times against the runs with better tires. The main benefit I see is finding out the limit of the stock tires.

Nope, the Injen filters are oiless. I also looked at my MAF and it looks fine.

I just ordered my Moto-East tune and 245x40x17 Dunlop ZII tires, and I am signed for the El Toro Prosolo (a combination of drag racing and solo with head on competition - pretty much a full on rush). Life is good.

Anyone been to Bondurant and been to one of their training days? I am very interested in doing the shifter karts. That's always been a fondness of mine. It's hella pricy but I am wondering if its worth it.
