I have seen with my own eyes exactly what can happen with materials inside a car during a crash test.
As far as electronics in the trunk sure that may be a very minor consideration and such an unusual circumstance that I would not rate them high on a hazard assessment.
If the trunk is buckled then sure you can't access it but how about a frontal with all the airbags deployed or even better a side impact that wedges it in there (best case scenario since worst means it propels it at the driver). If the car containing the extinguisher is involved in an accident so bad that you can't get it out of the trunk the odds are the driver is in no shape to be using it anyway.
I can not think of one single valid reason why you need to access it from the drivers seat.

Oh and by the way I have carried a 5 pound extinguisher on a normal clamp mount ($4) in my trunk for 30 years now and have never once needed to use it.
I'm glad you haven't had to use it. I have. More than once. Maybe you would share my view if you had the same experience.

Oh .... and one of the fires I had to put out was in the trunk of my own car when I was 16. Battery caught on fire. Yep ... I won't put an extinguisher back there.

BTW .... this isn't my living ... this is a side business driven by a passion based on first hand experience.

I respect your right to your opinion ... I don't agree with it.

Haters gonna hate.

Not hating on anything and don't understand why you would say that. I simply provided a counter point to your point based on years of formal training and experience. That experience includes 5 years as a Army truck driver mostly fueling aircraft, 7 years as a Navy Reserve Officer responsible for damage control and firefighting (6 weeks training at the naval damage control school) and 30 years in the Occupational Health and Safety field in large automotive plants. You want to talk about fire extinguishers on an educated and non sensational level I can do so. You want to throw random anecdotal stories at me as proof of the value and safety of your product then I have no further information of value to provide. I will continue to keep mine safely in the trunk where I can get it if I must but hope I never need to.

Are you respecting his opinion or are you disrespecting it? I'm confused.
