Nope, I had a Cobalt before this, but it was this car or a Challenger. I made the right choice

No I don't think so. Gay marriage has been legal in Canada for years, and there are far more "minorities" than plain 'ol whities. If anything we have a lot of reverse racism here. Dumb gwai lo...
Now, I am speaking for Toronto and Vancouver, Calgary to some extent, the most populous cities, as well as the capitol, Ottawa. French Canada probably not as much statistically. We have been going through a terrible divorce with Quebec for decades. The separation agreement has never been finalized but we keep paying 'em child support.
I don't think Canadians for the most part see their country as having high levels of racism.
Xenophobes, homophobes, anti Semites, anti blacks, anti Asians, its everywhere. I think that as time has progressed people in cities grow more accustomed to and learn to appreciate peoples different cultures.
I cringe when I hear non black people spouting the N word. The hip hop culture has made some people to think its OK. The word now has a different meaning and really it is the black people who have changed it, own it, and rightfully can use it.
Sorry for getting side tracked.

The paint sucks monkey balls lol, new scratches & chips everytime I start the car!

I think the best route may be to wrap it like 6-10 years down the road if you still have the car.

Wax and clean it appropriately with a sponge, make good decisions when driving and buy a car cover thats 100%, if applicable, water proof.

Paint is thin, someone on forums and on Toyota (?) took paint measurements. Ill link 'em if i find post(s). I asked dealer here and they said it's because it's Subaru paint. Not too happy with that response but meh.

Id say its more even than not. Half of my family is from surrounding towns near Malone NY (30 min from canada and where those escaped criminals were) There are PLENTY of what you would call "hill billies" or the northern equivalent of "rednecks" up there.

Being from the south, but also being half Canadian has helped me see that haha

I know there are plenty of rednecks or Hillbillies throughout the US. Mostly in the rural areas, which there are plenty of. But what part of GA are you from? I know a few people with the last name Pickle if that's even a part of your name lol

How is it in Consumer Reports the ratings for the quality of paints changes for one model year to another (or two) when it's the same paint throughout the life cycle of the car? You'd think if they made better paint it'd be used on all cars from the get go?!
